Overnight everything changes for the woman, nothing changes for the man. Oh my Rima, so so so true. You said it just like that, but how impactful that one sentence is, how many chords it might have struck !!!
Please subtitle this interview . So many girls and women will benefit frm listening to this very crucial conversation. Love your conversations Dhanya mam. Just so organic and i look forward to them ♥️
So many places where I shed a tear when I watched this interview. Dhanya, I hope you continue to do this. These interviews help people all over Kerala to understand women and change their mindset. Just like Rima said, its not I went through this so u also go through the same attitude anymore. Instead, I will give her what I didn’t get. What a powerful thought Rima!! One woman empowering and only empowering another woman. That itself can do wonders in the society! I feel like Dhanya is like a therapist to many that they come and are able to open up and share a unique side to their personality which they don’t share anywhere else. Kudos to the entire team! Rima… u go girl! 😊

Most of the time I was in tears watching this interview.... Seeing Rima speak for others and the struggle she had to put up in order to do that even though she said its not for others she did it but for herself .. it is a fact that resonates in every girl's or woman's heart. It really is the truth. Even though Rima could not put every hard feelings or the utter nakedness of the struggles or fights she had with this world just for voicing or pointing out the inequalities thats all around us, it's all understood. I personally can put or imagine that pain or devastation she could have gone through. And I am not dumb not to think that in reallity for her it could have been far more worse. PS: watching me cry my husband asked what are you watching. Dint answer at first but as kept on asking ... With a vague smile(you won't understand) I said it's an interview. He was like 'but why'?
All the hate she's getting for the strong statements made over time😭😭😭 I felt so bad for her 11:20-11:40 .....More power to you Rima ❤️..........Kudos from a men transforming in thoughts and grasping new thoughts
Spot on. I often think how ironic it is that a man with an opinion is a man but a woman with an opinion is opinionated, bold, outspoken and what not! And that's something as basic as an opinion. Thanks for the episode Dhanya.
I too felt emotional hearing the reality that rima shared. .its true that how good your partner is won't make anything the same for a married woman. .unmarried me was so much vibrant, independent and had enough time n energy to do everything I loved. .now everything's changed. There are so many small yet very big changes that has happened. .its truly the system's pblm. .
This was an eye opener, helped bridge the gap between reality and glamour . Another strong example that mental health is so so important- what goes inside someone’s head has nothing to do with how he chose to present himself to the outside world. The struggle Rima goes through to get a job and peruse her passion and maintain financial independence gives a lot of power and encouragement . It’s also a reminder to everyone to be happy, content and help others rise
I'm a transgender physically a boy who have a female heart inside. What Rima said is true I'm just 21 year's old who is fighting to live one day peacefully. Just seened myself on her word's and it's it's make tears on ma eye's too❤️❤️....
Hi Dhanya, i love the kind of questions you ask, probing the artist to back their claims with valid reasons and their own lived reality. Thats quite thoughtful, it shows me how you are conscientious about the content you are putting out there whilst also respecting the individual opinions of the artist.

What stuck in my head is when she said everything changed for her over night but nothing changed for her husband... Even after 5 yrs of marriage I am still realising how hard the system is made for women... Hw life have changed 360 degree for most... And not even 1 degree for our so called better half... Blame the better half or the system??
Your better half, like you, is also a product of patriarchy that also consisted his mother who raised him to fit the patriarchal society 😀 women are equally responsible as men in creating this messy misogynistic world. Ask yourself what you can do, to rise above this. It’s not impossible. We as women can start with saying a simple NO. You’ll upset a lot of people along the way, but you’ll also find, some people will respect you for your stance. There’s internalised misogyny in everyone, In you too! As you complain, you’ll find that many a time, you’re subconsciously using casual sexism against other men & women or your own children. We need make a conscious effort to come out of that. communication is key. Normalise having conversations about taboo topics, involve men in those conversations. Another thing is break the chain: make sure you raise your children differently, if you have a boy & a girl, raise them as equals, when they bring their partners home, be a good mother in law to them😊

Dhanya mam, it's really inspiring to see how you guide a conversation so effortlessly into the person talking their mind out. I love watching your interviews and Rima her spirit, her perspective on things, the fights she has to do as a woman, it hits you on many levels.

Rima you are speaking for me , speaking for us, speaking about all the women out there .. you are saying what we are going through.. I remembered my grandma who told me once.. Patti aayi piranalum pennayi pirakaruthu.. I understood that statement years later, after my marriage.. I forgot who I was..
When I was a child, I used to feel bad for all those freedom fighters who had to sacrifice their lives so that we all can relish our freedom. Deep inside I was secretly relieved of the fact that I was born after all those bleak years in the history n was glad that I was not born one of those martyrs.. As time flew, again I felt lyk we are fighting for our freedom just lyk those martyrs and may be there is high chance that I die like a martyr.. But just like Rima said, I really don't want to die a martyr.. I want to " live" before I leave..All of us have our rights to live according to wot our heart says.. Anyway, if I die today,M not goin to miss this wrld a bit. But I really wish for a time when all of us can njoy to d fullest n when we think of our death, we truly crave yet another life here..
Even though rima is the person that we are lauding here.. Its dhanya fr me who is the star... The way she weaves a conversation and being able to connect to each one in such a comfortable pace and bringing out the best from each one.. Shattering all the preconceived notions we have abt some people and starting to like each one with a brand new affection.. Kudos to u dhanya.. All power to you ❤️❤️

I loved the interview and i truly respect her emotions. But I had to disagree on a small part of what she said...Grace antony is such a wonderful actress but she was always casted for 30+ aged charecter roles even if she was so young. Why did that happened? If Rima had such great acting skills obviously she would have been casted for these roles or considered in the first hand.Anu sithara was already married when she was in her career best and acted in movies like Ramante Edenthotam.I dont think marriage is what blocked Rima from her career. If you want to exist in cinema (or anywhere else) you have to prove your worth. If not, directors will obviously cast someone better.
What a beautiful conversation! So organic. Rima has always inspired and will continue to inspire me as a woman. The clarity of thoughts and perspectives is just🔥 ♥️
This is exactly what I feel and go through.. I wonder how other women don't feel the same.... Most women are even afraid to like my social media posts on feminism.
I really liked when the question was ( neither intentional or not ) around her husband but Rima diverted beautifully back to the system at fault and not the person at hand. Sometimes we people tend to be focus on the person than look at the bigger picture. I'm glad that I live in a generation where we have women like Rima to look up to❤
Rima chechi's feminism is really a slap on face for all pseudo feminists who degrade such genuine human being like Rima chechi. It's 21st century and pitty that women still have to fight for being in their own element.
As usual different perspective and super questions...could you get Navya Nair once...I feel she has this connect to the ladies...like one among them ....her thoughts can resonate with a larger strata of the women ...her use of Malayalam to start with.....
I totally agree. Navya is a perfect ambassador for Malayali feminism because of the connect and relatability she has with the larger section of Malayali women.
I barely comment for the videos I watch. Rima has always remained my absolute favourite from Neela thamara. I have grown up from my school days watching her. And she as a woman is so amazing. I Identify a lot with her and I am awed by the things she express and put out to the society from her beautiful brain. Even though for a period she stayed out of the industry for whatsoever reasons, She has defined so many other things like female friendships and womanhood in this age in Kerala(which is tough). She has worked so well as a socially responsible individual and stayed commited to her responsibility of framing the scoiety through her deeds. I for a fact felt interviews in mollywood has degraded and became such a crap content (like the ones with veena) and interviews made no sense with questions like when are you getting married, and other unwanted personal stuff. So happy to finally watch a classy interview. I also follow Dhanya as a very educated woman and for asking real well researched questions to her interviewees. I am literally doing my assignment along with watching it. Quoting what Rima said, Art and cinema is so powerful. Use this platform to rightly express good thoughts that needs to be shared with the media. If we are actually working towards an empowered society, we should discuss matters worth the empowerment. Loved watching you Rima! Once again thank you for giving us such a wonderful interview.
Great interview, without diving into anything personal, but letting her speak her mind and giving her a comfortable space, dhanya ma'am, you were amazing. Reema ma'am, you are so inspiring and someone every woman should look up to. Wishing you all success in your life
Lovely conversation. A topic very less spoken but that has to be discussed continuously for the emerging change in our society. Thanks for this episode and yes we all are forced to be bold for our existence, rather than for being who we really are!!! ❤️
Sorry to say this... recently I had gone through a news which happened in 2020-2021....e WCC enulla sankadanayum adhile membersum ellam avarvarude thalparyathinullavare support cheyullu..not for the ordinary people..the person's name mentioned above I knew her personally..but never knew lots of things happened in btw..i will attach the news about them..there is no survival for people who doesn't do justice..karma is a boomerang.
Marriage has depromoted me into something less than a human being.. People just started demanding me to stay in a lower position with no basic human rights..... it was, and still is, the huge injustice world has shown to me.. every place I go, every person I meet, expect me to be less than my husband.. I was being frowned upon for fighting for my rights.... People just couldn't understand.... How dumb can people be.... And the truth is, there is no way back... nor forward. The status of a divorced woman or a single woman is even more damned...
There are thousands of women in the world who has succeeded in their life and career after marriage and even after becoming mother. Even in USA, Europe and India every where marriage changes a women`s and men`s life. Its about taking responsibility and succeeding in life. It your feminist mentality making you think like this.
Its true... If we women keep fighting to make our life normal and equal, it benefits the future generation.. ❤.. I hope we get to see like 4-5 parts of this fantabulous interview❤

Rima had a clear point while answering Dhanyas questions..she dint even go out of topic or blabber some random thing…I felt she worded out everything so accurately that any women would be feeling🙂
Unfortunately cannot agree with Rima on marriage. Some women flourish in marriage. If she failed as a woman after marriage, could be because of the industry she is in and on how vocal she was about certain things. Even Ashiqur faced a lot of trolling because if his views. It's not the same in every profession and also some marriages give women the wings to fly.
I hv flourished in marriage. Plus I know of men who say they don't want to get married..Only one thing I agree here is...overnight everything changed for her not Her husband. Then she needs to ask why.
Love love love! I cried listening to all this. This is every woman out there. Every mother, every wife, every sister, friend out there relates to it♥️ Can you guys please add subtitles in English so I can also send this to my friends who don’t understand Malayalam?
22:05 I think that’s a question every child should ask their mother. They will definitely say I am happy because I had you. This and that but we won’t know for sure.
Such an honest interview.. You are too genuine for your own good.. talent like yours will be explored in a big scale at some point..hope you get lots of interesting projects movies, music albums, websites etc.

She is severely depressed. I can totally feel every words spoken by her. But this a phase everybody will go through atleast once in their life. We will come out of it Rima. And instead of fighting and depleting your precious energy, just relax and stay calm...

Rima, I wish that you get to fulfill all your dreams and dance till eternity. Dhanya, thank you so much for bringing such beautiful people on your show.
Overnight everything changes for the woman, nothing changes for the man. Oh my Rima, so so so true. You said it just like that, but how impactful that one sentence is, how many chords it might have struck !!!
So true😢
Truth💯💯

I personally want to continue this interaction endlessly. The disconnected neural wires in my brain really started enlightening each and every second while listening to the interaction b/w Rima ma'am and Dhanya ma'am✨️. I truly believe that there's no other platform in malayalam had explored the kind of angst within her in an empathetic and enlightening way than with this channel♥️.All my preconceived notions about Rima kallingal just exploded through this interaction😇

Do you remember how prithviraj was treated initially due to his bold and outspoken nature ?
I too felt emotional hearing the reality that rima shared. .its true that how good your partner is won't make anything the same for a married woman. .unmarried me was so much vibrant, independent and had enough time n energy to do everything I loved. .now everything's changed. There are so many small yet very big changes that has happened. .its truly the system's pblm. .
What a girl this is.. So clear in her thoughts..
Thanks..
What she have told about marriage is 99%% correct
What she told about is very true..for Women..everything including how she is addressed from Miss to Mrs changes
I'm a transgender physically a boy who have a female heart inside. What Rima said is true I'm just 21 year's old who is fighting to live one day peacefully. Just seened myself on her word's and it's it's make tears on ma eye's too❤️❤️....
female heart?
Hi Dhanya, i love the kind of questions you ask, probing the artist to back their claims with valid reasons and their own lived reality. Thats quite thoughtful, it shows me how you are conscientious about the content you are putting out there whilst also respecting the individual opinions of the artist.
This episode is just fire🔥🔥🔥 people who are still trolling Rima can watch this and feel ashamed of them self.

Another thing is break the chain: make sure you raise your children differently, if you have a boy & a girl, raise them as equals, when they bring their partners home, be a good mother in law to them😊
@@SimV239 The changes should start from now... If people are ready to unlearn... And I'm able to happily witness some...

I just love watching your interviews,it gives a different perspective of people beyond the cinema screen life which is so much empowering.
Thanks..do share
Even though rima is the person that we are lauding here.. Its dhanya fr me who is the star... The way she weaves a conversation and being able to connect to each one in such a comfortable pace and bringing out the best from each one.. Shattering all the preconceived notions we have abt some people and starting to like each one with a brand new affection.. Kudos to u dhanya.. All power to you ❤️❤️
Im so glad that the interview has 3rd part

Rima is a package of this whole📍
Such a graceful lady💖
Kajol,Ashiwarya,Rani in Bollywood.
Marriage is not designed for women to succeed.. its true in a way .. i agree...To overcome that is our challenge..But we can achieve..
Please invite parvathy thiruvothu to this show
What a beautiful conversation!
I'm glad that I live in a generation where we have women like Rima to look up to❤
Dhanya connects well with all her guests
Rima chechi's feminism is really a slap on face for all pseudo feminists who degrade such genuine human being like Rima chechi. It's 21st century and pitty that women still have to fight for being in their own element.
I love the fact that everybody coming to the show have a safe space to be emotionally vulnerable ❤
I can see myself in Rima's rage. Yes. I am also exhausted but i am hell bent on living my life tge way i want. ❤🔥
As usual different perspective and super questions...could you get Navya Nair once...I feel she has this connect to the ladies...like one among them ....her thoughts can resonate with a larger strata of the women ...her use of Malayalam to start with.....
Pls do write in to her
I totally agree. Navya is a perfect ambassador for Malayali feminism because of the connect and relatability she has with the larger section of Malayali women.
Yea pls bring Navya... She can connect more with our Kerala culture and it will definitely reach to more Malayalees
Rima റിമയുടെ dream achieve ചെയ്യേണ്ടത് സൊസൈറ്റി യുടെ ആവശ്യം ആണ്. അത് സൊസൈറ്റി യെ മാറ്റി മറിക്കും

I am so sorry to hear this 😢
Very true
There are thousands of women in the world who has succeeded in their life and career after marriage and even after becoming mother.
Even in USA, Europe and India every where marriage changes a women`s and men`s life. Its about taking responsibility and succeeding in life. It your feminist mentality making you think like this.
I am listening to this now and really do not want this conversation to end... Please 🙏

She taught us most respectfully what is feminism and the way you should deal with what you want...really appreciateble and an eye-opener
Most heart touching episode,, the struggle of a woman,, the struggle of a gender,, the struggle of pure existence,, the struggle a man never would have ever faced,, the struggle the society puts upon us just to be you,, jus to exist as you,, jus to breathe..

15:00 It is not just an emotional or mental gap. It is a political gap. That's the limitation of "liberal feminism".
I really had tears in my eyes. Thanks a lot for this episode Dhanya chechee and Rima.
I'm glad you have given such a forum to express one's feelings.
Wish to see more of such episodes to unfold. Thank you, Dhanya!
