Nice, I am really interested in buying Tein for my Rsx, currently, I am running a pretty unusual configuration, KYB shocks with tein lowering springs at the back, I had to change the ones in the front (Tein as well) because they were too soft (bad condition), and put a 240sx springs, I know that this is weird, it was an emergency, here at my country we don't have too many stores (car stuff) like in the US. So please, upload a review about how the Tein are doing so far.
    Thanks.

You didn't have flat ride. You had pitch. That is the problem with most after market coilovers. If you still have your ktune coilovers switch the front spring to a 6k front spring rate. Call ktune and ask then what is the front and rear bounce frequency in Hz . Springs rate doesn't matter. Suspension frequency is more Important if you care about stability and ride quality. Those are actually the flex with a 8k front and 10k rear. The front would benefit from a 6k springs maybe even a 7k. Since I don't know the formula to calculate the suspension frequency. Can't really say. How I calculate a right now, is to stiffen the springs rate base on percentage. Example, if I increase the front by 100% then increase the rear by the same.

I’ve been owning the Ktuned coilovers since last October and honestly I haven’t had any issues with them yet, maybe cause I don’t use my RSX-S as a daily. Maybe they’re great for street and not for track. I owned BC and Skunk2 & I gotta admit BC was probably a great option cause Skunk2 went out very quickly, maybe is just Chicago bad roads. Hopefully Tein works much better for you man, especially at the track.

    • @DC5RParts

Thank you for sharing your experience as well! After using them on the street, playing with the settings and adjusting accordingly. I simply couldn’t get the balance expected from that product. Since you have tried a higher quality product such as BC, you understand. I look at Tein the same as you look at BC, much higher quality product. Yeah I’ve heard Chicago roads are a bit bumpy lol thankfully it’s quite smooth on my area. I appreciate it, so far extremely good with the Tein, I am enjoying every ride again.

Currently on Megan Street on my DC5. However, it's time for a replacement. Megan's where nice but their pillowball top hats give out too quickly. Had to replace them a couple times. • @DC5RParts

Oh no, I never had issues with running that bigger wheel. I like to switch styles from time to time that’s all, personally love the FD2. •  4 года назад

Its why Fortune Auto stopped making coils for our cars.. Once you lower, our suspension geometry gets all messed up. And Fortune Auto, literally one of the best coilovers you can buy, was having all types of issues with bad owners slamming their Dc5's and ep3's on racing Coilovers and blowing out the shocks and having all types of issues... Our suspension geometry is not simple when it comes to lowering and you need a professional suspension shop to get it right.

    •  4 года назад

Tien's are average.. If you want a good coilover, go AMR, Fortune Auto, Feal, or even KW(expensive tho).. I had AMR's and now I have Feal 441+'s and they are incredible.. Sadly, Fortune Auto stopped the Dc5 and Ep3 coils cuz people are idiots with our suspension geometry and don't know how to use good coils properly and buy $1500 racing coilovers just to slam their cars like morons..

Ktuned K1 is not a track coilover.

    •  4 года назад

@@IaintTrynaGoOutLikeBIGnPAC I would assume most people know this, and I dont think anyone here has claimed the K1 is a track coilover, but regardless, its not a good coilover for the price. It does not have a great shock/strut and it is not an easy coil to dial in and tune. Its just not well made, and really, what Chinese coilover is? Maybe BC coils, but thats about it, but BC also runs a Monopoly on Chinese coilover parts and hoards all the good parts for themselves.

@@richardkrikorian4438 Honda of Japan assembled their own DC5's... North America Acura/Honda plants assembled our own. Which is why the DC5 is different in the states and over in Japan and has many little differences between American and Japanese Models.

That's what coilovers do in the streets. If you want something that can take a bump, stay stock.

He has never liked Ktuned, watch all his videos all he ever does is expose them for cheap products
Edit: he does love hybrid racing and they do tend to sponsor popular Honda channels so that’s probably the sponsorship you’re confusing it with

My loyal subscribers answered the question for me so there’s little I have to say since they are correct.
To add, I only review parts just so you guys benefit from my findings, sponsored or not, I speak the truth because my honesty and integrity as a person doesn’t have a price. I am simply doing what I love, which is to help others so whether you want to believe or not. That’s up to you. I only care about being transparent in front of gods eyes.
So next time, do your research before trying to jump into false claims and conclusions about my character. Thank you for watching. 💪🏼
