If I ever win the BIG lotto, I am SO going to be calling Atlas and saying "Hey! I want one!" I've ben watching these vids, and being a fan of Atlas Survival Shelters, since the company first put out its first videos. But I heard about them in the mid 1990's and my dream was, one day, to have one. It's still my dream. And every time I encounter fellow Preppers I know who happened to have.... much larger wallets than my own, I always send them to Atlas.
You better put your bunker 50 feet (minimum!) under the dirt or it’ll be a lame build just like this. This is too shallow, this isn’t going to protect them in a nuke war. I would even suggest 100 feet underground.

When it comes to bunkers there is only one out there that would be a dream to own & that's the bunker he showed last week for 30 mill . When i think of bunkers that's what i think of....
I love the quality, integrity and honesty of Atlas Survival Shelters but, I was wondering if you have ever been commissioned for a multi level shelter, built one yet or if it’s even possible?
The WHITE color on the interior is always everyone’s first choice but that is often tempered with experience. I have done a lot of container modifications, in fact near twenty now and I found that the white color choice for the interior creates a slightly stressful environment. I use a local paint supplier brand called Dulux the paint code I use is called VW P172A Greenwood with a color mix of EE 180.00 / G 10.00 / M 140.00 Ratios based on 10 liter volume it is Dulux Berger Gold Label Satin Enamel - The difference between this and white is amazing. Curious about how it handles long term greywater, blackwater and garbage. Fuel for generator and water supply. Food storage is under the floor, room for clothing, soap, TP, fresh filters for air and water. Fun to watch along with the 30 million $ bunker video.
Hi Ron, I just have 1 quick question. Is there a way to lock the hatch from the inside, to keep others out while you are staying safe inside? I have been watching your videos for a few years now, and this is one thing I've been wondering about. If I ever win a lottery I will definately be wanting to buy a bunker from you. It's been my dream to own one for a lot of years. And after researching various company's, your company out weighs them all in terms of safety, and comfortability. Also they are beautiful inside. I absolutely love them. I hope you keep making videos for us to enjoy. Keep up the great work.
12 people in that bunker! Perfect for the short-term term. Longer term, they'll need boxes of Valium to keep everyone from killing each other. Especially with the main air input flowing into and out the bathroom by the brown bowl. 😅
Hi Ron, you got me at the health and safety is number 1. I was already looking on your website so just audio in the background. I was contacting you to ask if you have any more 30day experiences coming up!?
Hey Ron! serious question, how feasible is it to retrofit an existing simple basement ( not another yuppie house conversion...something for the everyday - average guy and girl ) into a shelter? after all most are made out of cinderblock and or concrete? I would like to see a video of this being done sir? please and thank you
3:51 I was always kind of curious why they never added a sand catch at the bottom of the escape tunnel. Also wonder if anyone has engineered a remote hatch for the sand without having to open it manually. Just some of the weird stuff I think about while watching these awesome vids.
Questions: how does the air pipe stay up when there are 500 mph winds from the nuclear blast & 2: how do you get electricity when you're underground for about 2 years? 🤔
500 MPH winds would mean you are inside the blast zone, close to the nuclear fireball. How likely is this bunker to be so close to any primary target ? Just 6 miles/ 10 km from the standard Chinese DF-5 ICBM 5 Mt (a relatively large device) detonation would be survivable inside this bunker. One meter of soil provides 99.9% radiation blockage. 14 days after a nuclear detonation reduces the radiation outside a bunker by 99.9 % except in the immediate fallout zone where parts of the device will contain deadly radiation to those that remain in close proximity for years. I'd plan on staying in a bunker at least a month to be sure. I wouldn't attempt to grow any food for 6 months as ingested radiation is far more deadly than normal environmental exposure. You don't need much electricity when living underground. No need to heat or cool as the earth provides moderate temps. Lights and some fans for air circulation. Solar panels kept stored in the bunker with other off-grid equipment can be taken out after a couple of weeks to recharge the bunker's batteries. It is better to try to survive than to accept death for yourself and loved ones. Atlas shelters are premium shelters with a premium price. How hard is it to dig a cellar with enough area inside to survive for a couple of weeks on the off chance that something terrible might happen ? Use the cellar as a game room or man cave in normal times. Take ownership and responsibility of your life and make the most of it. Hard times will require hard people.
Then those same people could use public records from multiple agencies who authorized the build, collect taxes, assure its safety... Unless You build it illegally off grid, hide it from gps sat images to avoid tax adjustments, its probably an insecure site.
Brian in New Mexico is going to hope nobody figures out where this is located based on the video. People do very impressive detective work these days. Nice looking build.
Best area to build a bunker….i live in Dallas but moving back home to Florida…I want one, but I think the water table in Florida maybe to high for a bunker 😢
A couple of questions, if I’m 265lbs will I be able to make that turn in the emergency tube to get up the ladder? Next question how do you get the fridge and furniture and gun safe into the bunker? Can all this be added before setting up and welding shut?

They are expensive, but they are built like tanks. All made of stainless steel. You can get drawer style refrigerators and freezers that you could actually fit through the door, even ADA compliant. How would someone test their new bunker and the air filtration system? Its all cool and nice but what if something was wrong with something and you need to be able to know how to test it after the install and every once in a while when you keep up with the maintenance.
Great thing about this business is, if it works you can expect to get a wonderful Google review and if it doesn’t then there will be nobody left to leave a bad one.
The last video about 30 million dollar bunker said so many feet of ash will be on top of it if Yellowstone blows. That plus I remembered snow higher than out front door after Mt. St. Helens. So I think I want an upgraded air intake system that maybe does something like telescopes up higher. I think there are calibrators for all filter systems. It would be a procedure and a special designed cap that gives you a reading on it's display. Maintenance crews do it all the time in hospitals and such.
I might have missed you mentioning it. I did hear you say this bunker could hold 14 occupants and it has under the floor water tanks. Am I correct to assume that there is space under the floor to store the food for the 14 occupants too? Approximately how many days worth of food can be stashed there? In addition, how is sewage handled? Does a septic system need to be arranged and installed too? And where is the fuel tank for the diesel generator kept?
If I ever saw a welder working galvanized without proper PPE on my job, he'd be sent home on the spot and you and I would have a long talk about looking out for your employees safety.
Ron, Is there any way to preserve carbon (vacuum seal, etc.) to increase the shelf life for greater than 7 years so as to be able to change out the carbon in the air filter system after it is no longer viable? Thanks!
Your question: Is WWIII Probable? - Not sure on WWIII but, multiple intercontinental conflicts or conflicts between different nations which have a global impact is, I believe.
I'm guessing this site has water supply... but you supply a filter of some kind? Also - air handling - I'd imagine you find some way to do that. You mentioned a HEPA filter... so you must have figured it out. I love our country where this stuff is possible.... but not so much when things look like it might be necessary....
There is also power/energy to be concerned about - it's gotta be solar right? If it was a fuel powered generator, you'd also need a place for the fuel. Is there an estimated time limit to living in one of these?

I mean empty packaging would be the least of my worries on that list. And sure I could put it back but there has to be a better option for long term solutions.
@@brandonbeckham8803 That probably depends on the reason and the length of stay for which you are building the bunker. Hi Ron, love your bunkers and designs i have been wanting to get into designing custom bunkers as a designer. Just found this stuff. Can someone explain to me how the air system works? How far can you run that pipe? What happens if it’s clogged but a mud slide or flood? Thats the only thing I can’t wrap my little pea brain around.
VERY INSPIRING!! Maybe one day... God willing, we plan to purchase an air filtration system for our tiny 7x15 round bunker project. What do you suggest? Swiss / Israel CHEERS
All very easy and fast, but they do not explain the survival itself inside the bunker in case of disaster such as biological, nuclear or chemical war... short or long term survival... supply of water, light, food and waste disposal. Given that in the event of a fire you would have to spend a lot of time inside the bunker, so it only seems reasonable to me for a very short period of time, such as a hurricane.
So Ron after the shelter is constructed and insisted how do you replenish your water supply in time of crisis, do you have a live water feed,, where does the gray and black water get disposed to ??? You don't mention that in your videos.????
“Honey wake up, Ron just dropped another video.” “Chef go back to bed, we’re not buying a bunker” 😢😢😢”But I can weld one myself.” “Uh NO, I’m not going to live in a rising S bunker!”
What it depends on is the shape of the bunker, round culvert style can go the deepest up to 50’ but the square ones max up to ten with zero concrete on top
It's a sealed bunker. The air filtration units are made to draw in air from the surface and them mitigate the carbon out an exhaust pipe. Radon isn't a concern because you are in a steel waterproof box.
Radioactive waves in a blast can penetrate steel. To mitigate the radiation you need to put some mass to absorb and refract it. 3' feet of soil will protect you from the majority of the radioactive waves that will melt your car and vaporize your home on the surface. It's also protection from a shockwave from a nuclear blast.
why is the hole where the bunker goes never that deep the whole most of the time is always level with the top of the bunker shouldn't it be a little Deeper. The deeper an underground bunker is built, the more protection it offers from a nuclear explosion. Studies have suggested that a bunker built at a depth of 100 feet or closer or more below ground level would provide a high degree of protection from a KT blast and radiation effects of a nuclear explosion.
A bunker like this out in the desert could easily be 100 miles from any likely target. That means this just needs a few feet of dirt over it for fallout. Doesn't need to stand up to a blast.
Problem is your only seeing this part in the video they said a barn was being built on top of it so you will have the concrete floor of the new barn also on top of the bunker so it always looks the way it does.
The buyer pays for the digging. It is not included in the bunker price. Buyers make that decision. Plus if the hole gets too deep then the walls of earth around the bunker need room to expand out. It would not be safe to work in a hole that can avalanche on everybody. I bet digging costs go up exponentially the deeper you dig because you also go wider.
They are raising the ground level and placing a barn on top. 4 feet of dirt plus concrete is more than enough to protect from any radiation or fallout. These aren’t designed to take a direct blast, but to shelter from fallout radiation among other possible threats.

I don't remember seeing Atlas use PVC for anything. It was always steel pipe.
Does your company also sell bunkers in South Korea?
“Honey wake up, Ron just dropped another video.” “Chef go back to bed, we’re not buying a bunker” 😢😢😢”But I can weld one myself.” “Uh NO, I’m not going to live in a rising S bunker!”
🤣
How deep would you be able to place these bunkers.
All depends on where you live ??
I think that is based on the location. Geological survey required
What it depends on is the shape of the bunker, round culvert style can go the deepest up to 50’ but the square ones max up to ten with zero concrete on top
Are furniture beds and appliances included?
Buy me one
How about aircon to be a dehumidifier
What keeps someone from finding you hiding in there and filling it with water?
Radiation. Proximity to water, access to any working vehicle... It's underground, so it is pretty hidden.
do municipalities require permits?
I have a question....anybody known what kind of product they use for a decontamination shower? Thank 😊
Where's this located?
Please give Canadian Prepper a free bunker.
How much was the install?
One day
Do you build in the UK?
I live between two military bases, my plan is to watch the missiles come in with a glass of wine.
How do you deal with radon?
It's a sealed bunker. The air filtration units are made to draw in air from the surface and them mitigate the carbon out an exhaust pipe. Radon isn't a concern because you are in a steel waterproof box.
Would you want more earth on top?
Radioactive waves in a blast can penetrate steel. To mitigate the radiation you need to put some mass to absorb and refract it. 3' feet of soil will protect you from the majority of the radioactive waves that will melt your car and vaporize your home on the surface. It's also protection from a shockwave from a nuclear blast.
Sounds like a good deal to me.
why is the hole where the bunker goes never that deep the whole most of the time is always level with the top of the bunker shouldn't it be a little Deeper.
Yes, I do think WWIII is very probable. We may have a USA Civil War II before that, though.
Im confused. Isn't the purpose of a bunker is to be hidden underground? With all those pipes exposed, wouldn't that give away your location?
Plant trees or bushes around it.
What’s the approximate elevation?

I think the Bible says there will be wars and rumors' of wars leading up to the end pf days . aka the 2nd coming of Christ. I truly believe we at the beginning of that right now as the world is. I love what you guys do and how well you do it.

Now you boys best make sure to screw up that screw up job! Screw it, but don’t screw it up!!!
2:06 how do you misspell "BRIAN"?
Nice job guys.
The scenery in the video is enough for people to pinpoint the exact location of this bunker in new mexico. Why do people who build these things love giving tbe locations away?
Can someone live in one of these full time?
Why not?
If you wanted to then why not.
