- Raft trips take place every summer on the Isar in Bavaria. Particular highlights are the so-called raft slides, which are used to overcome the difference in height at barrages (e.g. hydroelectric power plants). The Mühltal raft slide shown here is, at 345 meters long, the longest raft slide in Europe.

If im not mistaken, this is just outside wolfratshausen south of munich. We had a trip planned on this but heavy rain and raised river levels cancelled it.

How do they get the raft back up the river?
They disassemble the rafts and take them by truck up the river
