Regarding "tr*ps", I prefer to refer to them as femboys, boys who prefer to dress in a more feminine way (Ahstofo from Fate is a good example of this), there is a lot of misperception about femboys and trans characters trying to say that such a femboy is trans when nothing really indicates that to be the case (I'm not referring to Bridget as she is canonically trans). but I'm not trans and I could be wrong, it's just my point of view on this because I saw a lot of people trying to say that femboy characters were trans and that femboy is a slur. If I said something wrong, you are free to correct me.
Astolofo is actually agender (not identifying with any gender) IIRC. Femboys does sometimes fit, but there is still a big problem concerning mistranslation and transphobia when it comes to these characters.

You missed one of the best ones out there, You're Under Arrest has a character that is Trans and they did that character justice. Aoi Futaba was a brilliant character

There’s also a few trans (and other) characters you didn’t cover. Like one of the FLCL sequel series had a character who appeared to be a girl, but they were actually a guy; they aren’t a trap though. It’s complicated. I can’t even say which sequel because that’s a spoiler. Also, you brought up Dodoro and Yamato, but Mordred from Fate also doesn’t like being called a woman, viewing it as a sign of weakness, like the others; while also wanting to be the next king like her father. That’s all I know about them though, since I’m not that in depth with the lore. There’s also Backstreet Girls, but those guys don’t view themselves as women since they were forced to take the surgery by their boss, and are desperately trying to hold onto what manliness they have left while trying to act like moe pop idols. With that said, there was one joke where one of them tries to patch things up with their dad, who didn’t approve of them being in the yakuza, only to find out their dad was trans and happy to have a “daughter” now. (Made this in the middle of the night, so my head wasn't clear when I made it, and that does fall under the joke being just trans) Almost forgot to mention My Hero Academia with Tiger and Magne, with Tiger being a tran man who went through the process of a sex change and Magne being a trans woman who didn’t. (Minor note, weird how the 2 trans characters are on the more tanky side and fought each other. Not that that's really an issue, since they're both fleshed out enough to have enough character that's more than their identity.) Other one I forgot, Lala from P5 and Mama from AI the Somnium Files. Both are more game characters than anime characters, and both are bar owner, though Lala did appear in the anime, and AI the Somnium Files uses Mama in a scene that's pretty much saying "trans rights" so I'll give it a pass. While we're on the topic of video games, Erica from Catherine. (and just Erica because Qathrine from Full Body was just a crossdresser in the original Japanese) Haven't played Catherine, but she sort of works as a member of the main character's friend group.
bridget used to just be a minor character that was just a funny femboy type character, the “trap” like “looks like a girl but is actually a boy oooo” but when added to strive her story moved on, when you play the story mode you see her go through questioning her situation and identity, until she eventually embraces being a girl as the gender she identifies as, as she says “cowgirl is fine, because, im a girl!”

Bridget was put on a dress as a child because the options was either doing that, death, or banishment. In HIS story mode of the original XX, he straight-up confesses most of his 'happiness' is an act he puts up because he doesn't want to worry his parents and make them guilty over his upbringing. If you actually beat his story in Strive, Ky encourages him to be himself (boy) regardless of what other people think he is (girl), which encourages him to stop trying to put on an act and just let things flow naturally, resulting in him accepting that he's an androgynous boy and there's no shame in that kind of expression.

Felix from Re:zero for example has been stated by the creators that he is a boy. He goes by he/him pronouns in the anime and manga, and it's actually a bit deeper part of his story on why he dresses feminine so like- I don't really understand why everyone calls him trans because he's never said hes a girl to others. he's only ever said that he's a boy, so you're literally mis gendering him by saying he is trans. He can be a boy who dresses and acts like the gender norm of girls but that doesn't mean he's trans or "trans coded" i think he's just naturally feminine. A boy, who likes to be feminine. And i hope people stop mis gendering him, i see a lot of femboys get misgendered and i can't say i like it because i want feminine men and masculine women to be more normalized as just that without people assuming you're automatically transgender 😕
What about the scene from the light novel where Ferris reveals herself that she sees herself as a girl? Im going on the light novel. So not really misgendering. Idk if ur an anime only watcher of rezero but thats why i reffer to her as such. Im not against fem bois or more mascule women in anime, look at Lady Oscar from Rose, or Utena theres many Fembois in anime but when a femboi becomes a trans woman im gonna call her she her. @LumiaStarlight I disagree because even after that scene when he's looking into the mirror saying "I'm a cute girl" he still goes by he/him.(and he always tells people he is a boy whenever they assumed he is a girl so like- I'm not gonna refer to him as a she/her if he himself tells everyone he's a boy" I honestly think he did have a bit of body dysmophia but not because he actually WANTS to be a girl... I think it's because he didn't like how fragile and weak he was. In the story It is shown how he blames his parents for how weak he is and he used to think he's too weak and fragile to be a good knight. At first I think it was his insecurities telling him that he SHOULD be a girl sense he "can't" be a proper man. (And I honestly don't like that as a message. It seems harmful ngl) But later I think he realizes how he's actually more comfortable as he is, he likes being feminine and being seen as cute by others and himself. And I like how he still uses he/him pronouns later on because it's like he's almost grown past those insecurities about his body. There are Thousands of characters that break gender norms that no one calls transgender- and only a handful that Real Trans People See As Canonically Trans. Tuxedo Mask can be considered trans in the manga/Crystal because he is the technically only man sailor guardian which might suggest some thing since all of the rest are female
