I have always wondered why the Zulus didn't have cavalry and missiles units like crossbowman and archers. Or why they didn't buy guns from Muslim Arab traders from ships along the Indian Ocean coast?
Cavalry and ranged units didn’t really fit in with the Zulu way of combat, which focused on shock assaults and close combat. By the 1820s, Zulus did have a pretty extensive experience and stockpile of guns, though they preferred to integrate them into existing traditional tactics. There was more honor in fighting with a spear rather than a gun, plus Zulus were typically pretty bad marksmen that lacked good ammo.
Zulus really didn't have access to horses, at least not the same way the British did. Horses would have to be bought or traded for. Even then, Cavalry is more than just putting a man on a horse. It's training both the horse and soldier how to work together, how to act and fight in combat, etc. Plus, to be effective over time and stay active, horses need a substantial amount of food and care. Unlike the Plains Indians of the American West, the Zulus had no experience with domesticating and training horses.
@dongilleo9743 During the battle of isandlwane Zulu was forced to fight, Britain 🇬🇧 already had two colony, Cape colony and Natal. British empire didn't have good intentions at all they wanted to colonize the whole country
Actually, this is a fictional battle. My initial idea was to make a video dedicated to the Battle of Isandlwana, but the Isandlwana map in this game is terrible, so I opted for a fictional one. I will put a clarification comment on top, I didn't want to mislead people.

Hey guys, This is a fictional battle set during the Anglo-Zulu War. My initial idea was to make a video dedicated to the Battle of Isandlwana, but the Isandlwana map in this game is terrible, so I opted for a fictional one. In order to make the story more immersive I used sounds and voices from the movies "Zulu" and "Zulu Dawn". I DO NOT own any rights to these movies. The name of the game is: Napoleon: Total War Mod: Victoria at war (1879-1901) It took me over 20 hours to make this "film". If you liked the video consider liking, sharing, and subscribing. Zulu regard gun as a weapon of cowards.( induku yamagwala)

Causalty numbers? Sorry, I just like knowing the information of how many soldiers fought, how many died, etc.
Brithish 1200 men, only a few managed to escape.
Zulu 20 000 men, over 10 000 casualties.
@@hetmanRTS, although. There are huge piles of zulu bodys, I still stick with my answer

@@hetmanRTS Why are you making up fictional battles about an Afican tribe?..You are insulting the Zulus!😢.
@@keithbell7515 Hey, @Official-Zulu
Arrest this man!
Iswandaland , but fictionalized .
Where did all the wagons come from? They definitely weren't marching with them? Guess the wagon fairy magically produced them.
I used two separate battles to create the storyline. Wagons do not exist in the game, only as barricades.
how does your game look soo good?
How do you mean, like graphics?
Usuthu, Usuthu, Usuthu, Usuthu
Islandawana was the 1st major battle is this supposed to be it

Wish they could stop putting that voice in. ALL RIGHT, THEN NO BODDY TOLD YOU STOP WORKING, IT'S IRRADIATING. Thanks THANKS
It's a mod, not vanilla version of the game, bugs are common.
Union Jack...the Butchers Apron...
It's just a video, let's be respectful.
Bitter are we?

Bright red tunics and white headgear. Ideal for blending in with the African Savanna.
Ha, you used music for Silverado!
You noticed :)
Very amateurish. I did not waste more than 2 minutes here.
But I made you click, didn't I
There's nothing historically accurate about this video.
How did you come up with this idea?
Beautiful. The Zulus were awesome
