This is a good idea. I want to seal single servings of cooked chicken for daily sarnies but it seems a waste to use a whole bag or whole section of a roll just for a few hunks of meat.
I end up cutting bag open, removing one item, sealing back up - and if I do this more than once, I often end up with not enough bag left to seal! Individual portions - so much smarter.
Yes it can be! It will take a little longer to make a seal using a chamber sealer because the chamber will need to pull a partial vacuum on it but it can be done.

Love this! I've tried cutting larger Food Saver bags into smaller bags, but duh! You've shown me how to do it "smartly"
Very creative. We use to make smaller baggies by placing them in a book and using matched to seal the bags we wanted to seal.
It also seal ziplock bags on lowest seal settings. Just xut top seal off
