FYI - Don't ever run your personal credit card through your own Merchant Account. That's another great way for the Processor to start holding your funds if they find out. It's typically against their terms & conditions to do this as it is essentially the same thing as getting a cash withdrawal from your card but obviously you're paying your APR% rate at a Purchase level, instead of the much higher Cash Advance APR Rate. This could even get your merchant account terminated.
Ummm.i get your mistrust. However. There is a one benefit, to running a test transaction. Most important reason, is knowing the process. Reason, time is money. Worked an event, where food vendor.had an employee. Who essentially, gave all the food out free. With register. As instead of running cc/debit. Second reason is, there is money now in account. Depending on business, I would always recommend using a CC, with onetime payment option. This gives you a buffer. Especially if you have online store, or print on Demand products.. cover the cost of items. Until processing of payment from customer. Finally, gives you option to go through refund process. Because, nothing can ruin your business faster then, faulty transactions duplicate transactions, or misinforming customers as to the time frame, it will take to charge will take to disappear.
@@asthewheelturns5387 running a test transactionis one thing. But that should only be for a dollar or less. What I'm referring to is large amounts on your own card through your own merchant account. It's again your merchant agreement and will get you in trouble. I'm speaking from experience for someone who's been in payments for 2 decades.
@@SithLandlord yeah, well, also depends on how corp is set up. However, even as sole proprietor, you can invest your own money into corporation. Additionally, you can set up as a loan. In the other brackets/ investment. Provided, there are no other partners involved, uncertain as if their are partners, or shareholders.
Is it possible to run two businesses on one clover machine? I have a business teaching art to kids but I’m also Starting a t-shirt business as well. Both businesses completely different
It will be all process under one business name, not 2. For that you need to get in contact with your sales rep to get a new merchant ID for the second one.
You did not mention that taking credit transactions to fund your own business will get your Merchant account cancelled and black listed faster than a rat to fresh cheese
great for pay at the table, receipts also can print out a QR code. Customer scans with their camera, routes them to their bill and they can pay from ApplePay, Samsung etc. Hands free. They can also tap their card on the Clover or use NFC (applepay, Samsung pay) and hold their mobile device near the Clover to make payment
