Ive had mine about a month or so, very good, very powerfull very surefooted, everything where it needs to be. Great bit of kit and no leads to get in the way of anything or get caught up...
Do you know if Makita's bluetooth is universal like most consumer products. In other words, could I start a bluetooth-enabled Festool dust extractor with the Makita router?
@@bdm1000 I use a dewalt m class cordless extractor and I use the remote control, as I'm all makita tools. Pretty sure most tool brands only link there own tools...
I’d use this for mortising soss style hinges in the field. I’d use it for door prep for emtek mortise locks. Other door hardware. I’m not going to rough 3/4 window cutouts.
I have both makita and Porta Cable routers I prefer the locking mechanism on the Porta Cable over the makita but the makita is such a nice machine.. of course the PC 3 1/4 is a beast
@@treystills comparable , maybe a bit more power, hard to tell. I like that the milwaukee has a fixed base as well, it allows me to mount it under. Table for an site router table setup. The Dewalt is pretty similar in power and like the MAKITA it doesn’t have a fixed base

Yes it is very good. I've been using one day in day out for years superb router. I was given a 54v DeWalt battery so am tempted to get the cordless 1/2 DeWalt router, I am liking their safety feature of anti kick.
I’m a Makita guy but I purchased the Metabo version of this when it first came out, and I have no need to try another one, the Metabo is a beast

It isn't, it only pairs to Makita AWS
Surprised they weren't demoing these new tools with the tabless battery
I wouldn’t buy it, the corded makita 3 1/4 hp is the first and last router I recommend
