The play after the ref called the ball dead in the middle of the fumble play where the ball would be turned over . they scored at the 24:29 mark , changed the whole momentum of the game
Howdy! So Houston is an interesting case where R2 and R3 bisect the city. I think this decision was made to equalize the # of teams in each region. If you download the 6a pdf map from www.uiltexas.org/athletics/realignment-maps and look at the legend in the bottom left, you can see for yourself.
At the 29:00 minute mark, the QB throws a backward pass which is legal to hit the ground and picked up and advanced isn't it? If so, they took away a TD from Spring Westfield.
Great catch. I think you're right. Pass was released at the 18 y/l and hits at the 19 so it should have been treated as a live ball, not a pass. Really tough call for a hs ref to make in live action so I'm not surprised they missed it.
man I was at the northshore vs Westfield game and it was a blow out by northshore . idk man either Westfield got a lot better and kept up with dville or dville isn’t as strong as before …
I think that Westfield had improved since that game. They were very underestimated going into this game, but they proved that they weren't gonna give it away easily. Dville is sure to beat prosper.
Duncanville set the edge the whole game. Not much on the outside and kinda stout in the middle. Westfield flashed some brilliant ideas but just flashes and far too much arm tackling in the 1st half. Great footage for Westfield's next class to study what went wrong.

#55 for Duncanville, the D Tackle….. is a DAWG!!!!!
Agreed!
Cali guy here and big time fan of TX football. Question, though: why is Westfield in Region 2? Shouldn't they be in the same region as Northshore
Howdy!

@@TexasTone Ok, that makes sense now. I was under the impression that each region was a clearly demarcated area of the state.
So happy Caden Durham is going to be a Tiger.

Or the referees health, Westfield by calling penalties on two consecutive TDs.
At 11:36 the db tripped #4 for Westfield
