Also good idea taking it slow with the bikes. Take it slow and only go when you’re comfortable. Accidents are all too common and always wear that helmet.. I’ve seen too many inexperienced drivers get hurt 😖… but once you’re comfortable and safe it’s such a fun experience!!! The islands are a fantastic place to motorbike as well.

I was also a bit trigger happy with the gas when i was learning but once you learn some basic techniques you will do great especially how to safely stop and get off. Mopeds are great on the islands as i went to ko chang during off season with the roads being very quiet i would just cruise around the road that encircles the island which really helped me get better and confident riding a moped. oh i miss the freshly made 50bht pad thais.
Hey Holly, when putting in your contactlenses you should not put the contact on the tippy top of your finger, but on the part of tip where your fingerprints are. It sticks pretty well and it doesn’t feel as much as if you are poking your eye out haha. It also helps that you put on your skincare after you put them in so no dirt can come on it🌸
I would always book 1 night via booking/agoda etc so if i didn't like the vibe of the place i could just go. For me it was perfect as it gave me options i.e to stay and book more nights directly at the hostel for a better rate if i liked it or to move elsewhere to a better location or another area of the city.
Oh man now I miss Barley and Java seeing that black dog as I'm certain you must miss them terribly too. You look like a true backpacker with those backpacks front and back ... lol - I love how carefree you are. I hate lightning. When I was 9 I was struck and survived but I think that incident scarred me for life, it's torture. I stop everything, cover mirrors(don't ask, it's cultural) and go to bed.
16:19 One thing I have learnt from travelling is your itinerary shouldn't be fixed. It's always best to have a flexible itinerary, especially if you meet people and they want you to go somewhere else you should almost always say yes because of the life experiences.
In India here literally every home has a motorbike /scooter and every 15 yr old know how to ride it.... My dad taught me to ride scooter at 16 and at the first time i just couldn't balance the weight and the acceleration,but all the time my dad was like running behind me so i dont fall... I appreciate you to ride it alone and so well... It took me 2-3 days to learn it.... Great vedio holly!!👍😘
@@anshikakansal5988 Actually it's because since things are closer together in India than the US and you guys have a much lower GDP it makes more sense for you guys to buy cheaper motorcycles and scooters than to invest in a car. In the US, things are pretty far apart (it's normal to have a 30+ minute commute to work by car in a lot of cities) and the average American household can afford at least one beat up car so we see it as a need and motorcycles as a luxury/hobby to buy after we've secured a car and nice apartment and things like that. There are exceptions, like in New York City for example some people might opt for a scooter over a car because owning a car is very expensive there. So it's not a failing on US teenagers to not be able to ride a motorcycle because it's not a priority for us and in general a lot of US parents wouldn't allow it anyway.

Its true that we have our commutes near us so we prefer using less fuel....actually every young teenager has this craze of learning and driving motorbike/scooter,cause it gives kinda grown up vibe... 5:35 luckily you caught it 🤣 the previous time I used it, as I was putting it in my eye it fell and went down the drain. I forgot to put the plug in, so I ended up with only one lense which I decided to throw away because I can't only wear one. 🤣 I didn't have extra's and luckily my glasses were ready two days later so I was fine, I just wasn't able to drive for 2 days.
Do not say negative or slightly negative reviews of places. In Thailand you can be sewed for slander , even if it’s just your opinion. It usually happens to people who live long term in country. Just a note

Your green helmet looks serviceable but your companion's helmet does not look fit for purpose. Visitors to Thailand riding motorbikes either driving or as passenger are extremely unwise to do so without a proper helmet. You wouldn't do it in your country and you would be insane to do it in Thailand even though the laws are not strictly enforced.
