    As someone who's not very big on Gojira, even I will openly admit that this band is something special. Like.. "generational" levels of special. So much so that I'm actually a little disappointed in myself for not enjoying them more than I do. But the songs from them that I do like.. I don't just enjoy them.. I absolutely LOVE them. Silvera is my personal favorite track.

    I would recommend these tracks, they're my favorites from every album since FMTS:
    Flying Whales
    The Art of Dying
    The Gift of Guilt
    Silvera
    New Found

  • @marcio1745

  • @mryoun
    @mryoun Год назад +18

    Nice :)
    Give a shot to "The gift of guilt, live at brixton academy", or even better, try a back to back, the album version, and then the live version. They're just... Damn.
    "Born in winter" is another one that's not been much reacted to, it's a bit different from what they're used to do, nonetheless amazing.
    There's so much more, "The art of dying", "flying whales", "oroborus" back to back material, "esoteric surgery" which they do not play live, mainly because of the drums...
    Please, PLEASE, do more!

    Gojira is something else, i’d love to see more of them on this channel because they are unique. They actually started out as Godzilla in 1996, but changed their name to Gojira later on in 2001. Gojira to me is a liveband, their live performances are so good it’s incredible. They’ve gotten a little mellower later on, early Gojira was as death metal as it gets. I’d love to see a reaction to Remembrance at The Link Alive concert, the passion, the energy, the precision… it’s great. And there’s plenty more tracks that are just as good with this band. Cool reaction, keep them coming from Gojira. Subbed!

      So find a live version of any songs I'm going to react to is what your telling me!

    • @Tritoness
      @Tritoness Год назад +1

      @@Killermcknight not exactly, let’s say it will be good, but like all bands, some specific venues or live recording are better than the other, is it the band’s performance or prime, or just the recording itself. Also like all bands, they have songs that are just okay and even not great. But it’s baffling how much of their catalogue is so good and consistent. Gojira prime (live) was between 2008-2014 i’d say. And so to answer your question, i highly recommend choosing the live versions recommended, because the performance is probably incredible. In this case my recommendation is from 2003, from The Link Alive. Anything from that concert is pure gold. Other one i’d recommend to get some older Gojira in the ears is Clone, live at Garorock. So much to recommend though.. cheers

    Awesome react brother….I am just like you and many others I suppose….when a Gojira track comes on… the head banging is just an automatic reflex action… and not that soft version of it…the full on jackhammer version of it….

    The last time you said it, it was the closest :) Le enfant (in french it's apostrophized due to the vowel) l'enfant translates into the child. So savage child. Great start, it's one of their best songs and actually most know by their fans, but all their songs are "their best". I think you probably have the entire list to listen to already, my personal favorite is "The gift of guilt". Also, listen to them playing live, their shows are amazing and they have such high energy. Finally, they advocate a lot on the global warming, planet devastation by humans basically and other great causes. They are heavily involved in humanitarian causes, so it's not just about the music, it's also about the message with them. "Flying whales" is also a great track and topic.

    Ok. You just got your start. Ouroboros live at Eurockeennes 2009 is their live energy at its best. You won’t be disappointed.
    Lyrics are CRUCIAL to a deeper dive into Gojira.
    My take on the video is that we’ve been consumed by concrete and steel and oil and smog, and lost our vitality. The woman in the video finds her own ‘wild child’ within herself and walks step for step with the wolf at the end.

      L'enfant sauvage means "'Wild child", as in a teen that's going through terms with his young self and has to find a way into society, a rebelious troublemaker going through that passage of life.
      That's why I think he's saying lines along the "I ran away from institutions,I owe myself life" as if it was talkig about schools.
      Then later on it goes into "Agony, Denial, Lies, forgot to create your own life".
      I might also be completely wrong :P
