- 1000 subscribers!!!! or is it 1000 SUPscribers?!?! I can't believe in one year I was able to make 36 Episodes and get over 1000 subscribers to my Twonicles Channel. I just wanted to make fun surf videos to share with everyone and it seems they are definitely popular. I know I built the majority of the channel's following through SUP surfing, so I am sticking with the SUPscribers joke! Haha so stoked to be able to share progressive paddle surfing with the world. I would love to hear your feedback back on this past year's episodes and any ideas you would like to see go down in the near future! THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR THE SUP-PORT!!!!! hahaha can't stop with the sup jokes lol #1Kcreator #standuppaddle #supsurfing
Hi Anthony, your channel has some really great content. I've recently dropped down to a 7'4 SUP from a 9'5 160L SUP and was having problems with the general challenges of surfing a smaller SUP. There was not one video on RUclips which really helped. Watching how you SUP and specifically watching your video on dropping in late really helped me understand what I needed to do. There are lots of video on RUclips explaining how to drop into a wave (I've been surfing 25 years so they are not really helpful)... But your explanation of paddling on your toe side and not having your back to the wave is a complete game changer. Today I must have paddled into 20-30 waves. Something which would not have been possible a month ago if I had not been watching your video! Keep up the awesome work A SUPscriber!
Thank you for watching and appreciate the SUPscribe! haha yeww congrats on riding a 7'4, that's a big jump. Especially congratulations on your surfing progress! too epic!!!! I will definitely keep up the advanced 'how to' episodes!
Congratulations! The stoke is real. Keep the videos coming
Thank you Matt!! Stoke all around!
Hey Anthony, always a pleasure to watch your vids ! It did help me improve some moves for sure ! what's your opinion about dropping from a 97L 7'9 x 29 (see redwoodpaddle.com/fr/source-pro/439-source-pro-7-9-carbon-brush-sup-surf.html to get an idea) to a 7'7 79L B-Line (a 1-time opportunity, 2nd hand board), which seems a quite cool board... I can handle the 7'9 quite OK but 79L for my weight 66kg + board 6kg + 4/3mm wetsuit + paddle...I fear it's too big a gap...
Cheers!
I weigh ~75kg and ride 75 Liters.
In all my wetsuit gear, it definitely becomes more challenging.
The magic ratio for low volume is within 10 Liters of your KG weight, so by riding 79 liters you have achieved that ratio. I recommend getting the board. You will just perform more prone paddling between waves. Plus the board probably has a high resale value if it doesn't work out
It's an all time good to watch...I'd only change the "opening gingle",.... It reminds me an horror movie like "shining" . (joke Mate!!!)
Hahahahhaha 3 more episodes haha going to change it for episode 40
Awesome and congratulations on the 1000 subscribers, yewww.
Big thanks to you for grinding with me!!! i think 5000 would be the next big milestone, within the next 12 months would be impressive.
Wow! Small board. I could duck dive that thing no probs!
haha no doubt! I have a friend who is 250, he surfed it without a paddle and could duck dive haha
Hi Anthony !
Really enjoy your videos, they helped me tremendously to get better quicker.
Yet i find myself in trouble when paddling out on big days, espescially in spots where its impossible to just go around the whitewater ( i m french btw and I dont know how you name the broken waves in english ).
I used to stand up and lift the board by putting more weight on my back foot when i rode bigger board to climb over the foam, but now that i ride a 7'6"x80L i cant do that anymore...
I would really enjoy a video on that subject where you show us how you do it !!
Thanks.
Merci Paul!!!!!! Appreciate you watching and the feedback. Will definitely make a video on navigating big white water. On the smaller board, there is a lot more swimming involved haha you have to kick the board over!
@@Twonicles Haha yes, that's what I started doing, but I wasn't extremelly successfull.....
Looking forward to see your advice on this subject someday !
Thanks for the content once again
Mean Brutha 🤙🏿🤙🏿🏄♂️🏄♂️
mahalo Dean!!!!
Nice Tail Slide Anthony Brah
THANKS ANDY! yewwwwww
New to SUP surfing and have a question: At 2:55 you tossed your paddle over the wave as you dropped down on your board. Why / in what circumstance would you do that? I enjoy watching your videos! Keep it up
White wash was kinda big......so he had to go prone....tossed paddle to get over it.....imho....
Paddle toss because wave ended, he will grab the paddle when he turn to paddle back out.
thanks boys!!! and thanks Chris for asking! I do a lot of prone (stomach) paddling after each wave to keep new blood circulating to my feet. I threw the paddle to get down to my stomach without any interference. plus knowledge of my surf break let's me easily determine where i can toss it to and pick it up on my path back out.
Hey man, whose song is playing in this video ? It’s pretty bad ass
Oh and the sup surfing is awesome, really driving me to learn
Thank you Chris appreciate you watching!!!! Dude I couldn't believe it either, but this song and many of the others I've using are free youtube unlicensed downloads in YT studio. If I don't put in my video who made the song, then it is YT music!
Enjoy your vids, thanks. Plus nice to see you owning the gang surfer barneys at your spot with the SUP. Come on down to Nside Oside Pier and show em how its done. Sundays AM..see you there.
Hahaha ridiculous how the most grovely days are the most crowded. And yea was definitely barney squad this day. Can't make it this Sunday. But will definitely see you sometime this month and Oct!!
@@Twonicles Thanks for the comeback...That would be great! Keep SUP surfin!

Hahahaha hair farming!!!!
Another satisfaction ))) Great you include fails. Makes me feel not that bad )) Thanks, keep em coming. Wish another zero on the end of that subscribers count.
Thank you Dmitry!!!! got to include the falls haha I like sharing my entire session! Appreciate the subscribe and feedback, we are on the road to 10,000 now!!!!
@@Twonicles shall it be a short one! Thanks again for vids. The only channel with consistent content. Could be great for traffic making tutorials for basic moves like bottom, top, etc. Pumping also. Advanced staff is super interesting. But I think you could get more newcomers to sport by that. As I was searching for that info at start. And it is actually not much. Again - the best of luck. And great appreciation for content!!!
@@DmitryBorzdov epic, thank you for all the input and feedback!! I think you are correct. For a start, I should make an extremely basic "how to sup surf" video
Hi
