I believe the impact will vary depending on the sector. For example, AI can be more effectively utilised in bill preparation & commercial management, particularly in the construction of BIM-friendly new builds & large civil projects. However, when it comes to restoration or refurbishment work, which are often less formulaic and rely on specialist trades and techniques, AI may be of less use and thus pose less of a threat. Difficult to say though. It's a powerful tool capable of disrupting a number of jobs. Ultimately it will come down to how protectionist your government is of workers in face of disruptive tech and competition.

AI is just a tool to help QS make their work easy.

The ability to Take off Quantities from drawings should be number one requirement, otherwise they should be called a cost consultant.
