My name is Dayton and I'm an airsoft sniper from BC Canada. Ever since I started airsoft I've been addicted to the long range game. that's why I play as a sniper. I have some knowledge of CQB and urban play but if you see me out in the field, chances are I'm out there with my Tokyo Marui VSR10 and MK23.

A smart move would be to get the tanks and drive over it. shovels are also good
Hey man any chance u were filming at the field last Sunday? Some pretty good footage of that church defense game if u were up top
Damn, fire spreads fast for sure...
glad it got under control relatively quickly (and the wind didn't change).
Also, the amount of fire extinguishers that were summoned in 8 min kinda crazy
if I learned anything, it’s that you can never have too many fire extinguishers
As a Volunteer Firefighter and a Career Firefighter in Australia , you did really well to put this fire out to the best of your ability but for future I think it best that you have a truck with like a tank on the back with all the dry grass around should be really glad that it wasnt next door that went up
Or have the tank go run in the front of the Fire making a fire line
@@goldenroar4757 True true, Smart
@@NotEthanNorbury the only thing about that was it could have spread the fire if the same unknown issue happened.
Yeah
I has one of the pepole there
“Hey there fire, that’s pretty much not cool for you to be here eh, so I’m going to have to ask ya to leave. Sorry about that, bud.”
-primary Canadian firefighting method
This reminds me of a cycling trip with my mom and sister. The fields were harvested and the square haybales were stacked and had a small smokeplume. My mom went back to the nearest houses and in no time there was a small fire, by the time the fire department was there most of the top was on fire. I was surprised how fast it went from a small smokeplume to a raging fire.
@@drake-vy8sc Nobody cares if you have no father figure.
hey house that small truck you had at 3:52 that would be perfect for something like a little 100 gallon water tank on it with a little HONDA GX160 firefighting pump with you know like 160foot hose reel on the back incase something like this happens again (ive been a Wildlands Firefighter for 11 years in New Zealand) it would be perfect for an airsoft field like yours and it would also help in the future incase of any small vegetation fires as well and not only that it would also give your local fire bridge a fighting chance incase of a wind change or a strong gust
Howzit House Gamers Airsoft,
Just wanted to commend you & the other players on the calm and rapid response to slow and eventually stop the spread of the fire (as well as preventing any damage to the electical power lines and structures).
For future reference, I would recommend that your field may look at doing the following:
Having a homebuilt skid unit (one that can quickly be slipped onto that vehicle that drove through half way through the video or onto a Bakkie (or Truck as its known in the US & Canada). This can be done by having a 500L or 1000L water tote on a small support system, where you also have a small commerical water pump (with atleast a 30m vertical reach), rubber fire hose (like those on hosereels) and an adjustable nozzle (also found on the hosereels).
Some more budget friendly options are:
1. Making your own Fire Beaters, simply take pieces of conveyor belt (a square shape, and cut 2 equi-distant flaps), and U-Bolt it onto a wooden pole or cross-t it onto an aluminum pole.
Also, you can buy old fire hose from your local station, cut into equi-lenghts, and tape/fasten together.
2. Rakes (metal ones) or Forestry Rakes (also known as Macloeds), Shovels, Pulaskis etc... and just remove the fuel from the path of the fire.
3. Backpack sprayers with hand pumps, you can upgrade the wands to allow for better water flow etc... or keep them as is.
4. Stamping out the fires like you were doing always works as well too.
But of course, the best solution is always education and prevention, hold a quick brief pre-game on fire safety and the processes should a fire occur.
Also work with your local department, and burn fire breaks in specific areas, so that if a fire does break out, it won't be able to spread out of those bounds (typically by property lines/fences and buildings, and try and link it up to roads etc..) and of course by burning yearly rotational fire breaks, nee vegetation will grow with in the area allowing for some sick new spots, and a constantly changing field!
Feel free to contact me if you require any further assistance or information.
Regards,
Jonathan Claude Hardcastle
Future knowledge:
Get soaking wet bath towels to slap the fire down. (Instead of feet.)
Extinguishers used near electric pole is a good idea.
Watch where the wind blows, see if any embers jump the road or open area to more fuel.
Other than that, good job.
I did this very same thing out near our cabin once during a dry summer. We shot off small fireworks to keep them from going far, but we decided to shoot off some "glowing parachutes" and one of these started a fire. We had it down to the final embers before the volunteer fire unit arrived. We kept it from expanding just like you boys did.
Can’t really say you guys did anything wrong. Very calm reaction and prioritized the power lines and longer grass. Great job
im glad the field didnt get any more burnt and also glad that nobody was hurt
1:17 the WORST foreshadowing😭😭in all seriousness I’m very glad no one was hurt or anything and I wish you the best of luck in repairing the damage as quickly as possible so people can get back to having fun out there!!

I see what you did there fellow Canadian… 😉
I'm impressed that so many fire extinguishers were that close on hand. Were some from people's personal car or houses?
Looking at the fire extinguishers themselves a few were probably personal/vehicle extinguishers but the majority not
Note: do not step on fire unless you have nice burly boots (like Dayton) or they’ll burn and melt your toes
Just off the top of my head if you ever find yourself in a similar situation, as was mentioned a fire break might have helped. Not knowing what resources were available at the location, just going off of what appeared in the video, dragging something large through the dirt behind a vehicle might have worked. Doing a long burnout to tear up the ground might have worked. Etc. Glad nobody got hurt or lost anything important.
The airsoft field I go to did burn down, RIP Warped Ops.
Damn dude, now you own an airsoft field. Super jealous man. Even though that looked not fun haha
i wouldve just drove over the fire with the tank smothering it
Damn bro I was surprised all the regulars weren’t out there stomping out flames! Glad this wasn’t worse and no one got hurt, tank is awesome.
we were all at the far end of the field mid-game when we heard about it! by the time we got back to the front of the property the fire truck was just rolling in.
Impressed you kept your cool, you seemed a vital part in saving the telephone pole so well done your a hero! 🦸♂️
This is why evey field should have a trailer for an ATV with a tank and pump ready to go.
just a word of advise when or if that happens again get a shovel and put dirt on it or rake a barrier around the fire to prevent spread
this reminds me of the wildfires in UK, Spain and France. they grew fast and they killed hundreds, except in England, but they were massvoe, there was even one next to our area as it burned down an entire row of houses in Essex.
fire compartment
Just a tip
in grass/woodland fires Avoid dry powder extinguisher uses CO2 foam and water they'll have a blanket uses on the fire but powder will just extinguisher the flame then the heat will reignite it so if this every happens to you WATER AND Foam are your friends
You guys got really lucky there; good move trying to protect the area around the pole. Personally I would have let the rest go as the roads on the top and bottom of that section along with the the dirt lot to the would have acted as breaks the real danger was the area beyond the pole even with the road acting as a brake on side 4 protecting that structure having the pole catch and dropping the power lines can spread the fire beyond the break and make the area even more dangerous for you guys.
Either way great stop; and with all the dead vegetation there I would recommend a 750 gallon trailer mounted tank and a semi-thrash pump with a forestry line & nozzle be kept on hand. Fairly cheap to set up and will help in the future; also see if your local department will work with you guys with some brush fire training to have a team prepared in the future.
after you said "its quite calming to step on fires" im scared and hiding all matches in my house
that's a lot of damage
So whats the tank baby's gender
Airsofters… one of the only communities that can be firefighters in a split second
I’m gonna suggest that the cause of the fire was the T-55s ESS I’m assuming it was in given the amount of smoke. To create a smoke screen tanks squirt diesel onto the hot exhaust creating smoke if left on too long the built up fuel can ignite for a brief time.
Let this be a warning to be careful with your heavy metal death machines, dont wanna start any fires. Play safely with your tanks boys and girls!
was doing some camping and the farmer that let us use the field his combine went up in flames while harvest and the wind was quite strong, fire was like 1-2 meters high was trying to help with anything but damn the smoke kills when fighting the fire and it hot af u might think 5 meters u won't feel the heat oh damn u will luckily we took out most before fire brigade came if we didnt try to spot a whole tree line would have caught fire and yh with 30 degree weather and dry grass and shit. big no no
The best thing you could’ve done in this situation is first call the fire department and second started digging and destroying all the brush in a perimeter around it. Good work with the fire extinguishers. Try not to breath that shit in though. The way a fire extinguisher works is it deprives the fire of oxygen.
Maybe donate so I can buy a Lamborghini 😂 he was that kid that slyly asked for things in a cleaver way so his mum couldn’t say no
At least his first thought wasn’t to record it like every other person does(people are dumb…. Besides him.)
If this happens at my local field, i don't think we got that many fire extinguishers, that b- is going down whole lmao
Why didn't you have the tank tear up the ground near the fire to slow it down from burning so fast?
Some places fine you for unsafe usage of a vehicle in causing a fire which can lead to large fines.
Just getting into airsoft and having this video recommended to me, then realizing this is my local field LMAO
this tank is the T-55AM-1
Great job finding something right away instead of acting like a deer in headlights. I would agree that the track on the tank threw a spark in the dry grass and caused the fire.
Dot large water containers around the field just in case.
They call me captain hindsight
You can use a flat shovel to stamp the fire out I've done it before but I'm not sure how well it would work with a fire of that size
you told me to do my taxes and i didnt now HMRC are coming for me and im on the run with my airsoft gear D:
Hahaha maybe if there's a tank should have some water near by ir could set up some hoses near the long grass
This is killer bro never run so fast speedy boi more like sinky boi cuz u gonna smell bad
Thats not a T-55, anyone can see that it is a T-55AM from 1.2km away
fire compartment showed up 8 minutes later.......? lol
Well done! You guys acted swift and good!
my mind went fire bad so grab rear driving car and spin tires to through dirt to kill it
You are the Beetlejuice of fire. Say fire three times and it shows up.
So glad that I don't live in BC anymore fire in BC is scary
You must fight fire with fire = more 🤌🏻🔥
That was exciting. From waging war to fighting fires with a two step 🤣. Is there anything you can't do? Awesome video. Get them guns fixed.
I was there that day I did not see to much of the fire because I was in a game though
I was there when that happened my game got canceled because of it
Has anyone told you you sound like Drumsy?
I've been wanting to go out again and went I saw the notification for this vid 👀👀👀👀 glad everything worked out for the best
Should check out the Mission, BC field some time, it's a fun field and the one of the only "local" alternatives to Panther
Walling around and stepping on it is the best way to put those fires out. Also in a jiffy soat your shirt and throw it on it. I've found that pretty helpful
PASS Breh!
Pull
Aim
Squeeze
Sweep
Holy cow. Your even more of a badass
I do hope you had a mask on while walking around in the smoke
Didn’t know this was a fire walking tutorial 😂
That's the built in scorched earth funtion of the tank
since when was it legal to have a medicinal t-72!?
sorry i now realise its a t-55 with ?reactive armor?
its a T 55 AM-1 I think
@@DieRatte1337 yea its a cool tank but its not when you meet a javelin missile launcher
@@GuardianArmamentsUK true. The also made one whit an aps System but javilin wouldn't care.
Sorry for Bad english.
Too bad there wasn’t a tractor nearby to put the fire out with dirt
As an Asthmatic, I can feel the smoke already
I FEAL LIKE WHEN U WANT FYERE U DONT GET IT BUT WHEN U WANT U DONT GET IT
that deep breathing right the start tho🤣🤣 I'm glad no one hurt tho
Usually these are pulled by tactors
OOF
no one helpin lil man pick his lil fire extings up
F for fire. I would have grabbed a shovel and started throwing dirt at the fire 💜
Field looked pretty dry, glad it was contained and no one was hurt.
Yeah bro. Fire makes you move fast
oh that's why it's been so smokey recently
bro how do you start a fire asking for a freind
When it started, why didn't you roll over it with the tank and his chains?😅
Fighting the fire with the thing that started the fire 🔥
Holy hell when did this happen at panther?
was wonderin what all that burn grass was about
Putting stones or dirt one top of the fire might have killed it i think?
Ahhh... yes the fire compartment
A great example of being your own first responder.
