I love that you are adding these older films! I hope you'll be adding one I saw on PBS back in the 80s/90s.. I think it was called Long Journey Home. It was one of the most emotional films I'd ever seen up till then, mostly because I'd never seen a portrayal of my Appalachian heritage that wasn't meanspirited and cruel. This one one showed the pride, work ethic, deep faith, and love of home that Appalachians have embedded in their very souls.

This is fanatastic. However, I am sad that women's voices are only about 10% of this video. I know it was the times, but still....it's an ongoing issue in Appalachia.
the voices with those musical accents carry me back in my mind to when i was a young’un in the mountains.
