I just want to say thank you for the great explanation that you have done already I am understanding the process and the way that things are deployed more in your 2 videos than what I had watching about a dozen or more before so again thank you for the help & your time in making these videos
Troy, thank you for making these awesome instructional videos on Windows Servers and Active Directory Roles and functions. Your explanations and lab simulations are precise and easy to follow. Much appreciated for people like going thru development of a new lab environment for personal use and work. Having said that, could you make a video that explains the configuration of REMOTE access for Windows Server 2019/2022? - Thanks in advanced.
Another great video Troy.please share one video about sharing internet between home wifi network to static ip address given hyper v Active directory server
Thank you very much, i followed your video. Everythings go in the same way. But when first DC is offline, despite the second DC is online and had all stuff replicated, users cannot log in, windows 10 on clients say domain is not available; can someone have a suggestion? thank you to all
thanks Troy...very informative....quick question...I did exactly as u described and managed to add a secondary domain controller...however, when the primary controller is offline, it seems the AD and DNS services are unavailable...what could be the issue?
i have the same troubles. It seems that FSMO can reside in just one DC. Question is if primary DC is offline, which fault tolerance add a second DC seen that users cannot log in?
Is there a video on how to replicate a shared drive between two DC's using DFS in case one of the DC's goes down, and clients can still have access to those shared folders?
But if the primary domain controller goes offline how does the second domain controller perform DNS resolution for the users PC's etc... if its DNS server IP is the same IP as the primary domain controller?
Hi, I have a problem, the changes I made on DC02 don't replicate on DC01, everything looks good: network, dns, etc. The only different thing I did, DC01 and DC022 have different languages.
You are the man.
for real! He deserves more views.
Hope he's ok, been about a year since last post.
@@chrisrucier9488I agree. Is there a way we can reach him out? To make sure.
Brilliant Troy. Explaining in such an easy way shows great deal of professionalism and experience in server environment. Thank you.
Great Video. Very easy to understand and follow.
Thanks for this Troy. Starting my first IT job tomorrow, and going through refreshers in VMs, this helps a lot.
Glad it helped, Tony! Best of luck on your new job!

Fatastic! Thanks so much. I've now got the DC02 running but can't join the DC01. Do I need to install DNS service on DC02?

If I join a client to a domain it doestn use acme as a prefix for the login. instead it uses int. why is that?
could i add the second domain controller as a vm on my primary?
Not uploaded video very long
