Hi Bruno. I'm so confused about getting this one or the Elite V. Does the Elite V has a better B string than this one ? I was thinking because the elite has 21 frets (1 more than the Pro and also a B string retainer)... also is the B string balanced along the whole fretboard on this Pro V? The passive sound of Fender American passive is just amazing.... I'm so confused :(
you can buy the fender b string retainer after the fact and it's easy to install. the elite has the active electronics and the fancy block inlays and fingerboard binding. I've tried the Elites and the AmPros and remember liking the AmPro better (especially the Precision 5...holy crap what a bass!!) The B string on the elite had a bit of a better open note, but I'd attribute that to the retainer giving it better break angle on the nut and as I said earlier, Easy fix. To me the elites looked better but the American Pros sounded more organic and natural...the elites sounded dead to me. I am a bit biased as I prefer passive electronics...amps these days are so stinking touchy on the front end anyways....would rather have a tamer bass and let the amp help me do the talking. best bet is get out there and try before you buy. hope this helps. peace
grande bruno, sei uno dei pochi che sa come si fa la recensione di uno strumento!
Which one is better. American Professional jazz bass v or Mexican deluxe jazz bass v..
Il est très utile ce que vous faites, Bruno. Merci.
🙌
Bruno...Fender describes this as "SLIM C" neck...front to back.....would you agree with that description? Thanks
Excellente présentation et très utile, merci !

Bruno Ive never played a 5 string , the fretboard is huge , very nice.

What a f****** sound.
