Man that was an hour well spent. Clueless I went to Basspro and they sent me home with a 7 half foot 5 wt several years a go. Since tuning into your channel I went out and got a Orvis 9 ft 5 wt, what a wonderful upgrade. In hog heaven and catching trout. You the man Spenc. ! Keep it coming.

Bottom line is the fish dont care what equipment u are fishing with. Rod and reel can be a decent budget or past 1000. The people who have the cash will spend the cash. For the average work class anglers a good middle road price tag has everything u need for trout. The reel dont make much difference for trout angling.

Small time flyfishing guide, been fishing my whole life. 💯. The rods don't make the fisherman. They do matter though. They make a difference in some cases to distance, accuracy, and even wear and tear in you. Some are just harder to get the line out. But, a fisherman can get used to any rod they pick up.

It is so aggravating when the sound isn’t well mixed. I have old ears…can’t even hear the guy on the left.

You're right. He wasn't quite talking into the microphone the entire time. We tried out best on the edit. Sorry for the frustration. Will do better next time.

Blew my mind when he said their margin of error was the width of a piece of paper. Crazy!
