    Do you have any SEL lessons? Anything would be great but I am specifically in need of cooperative learning, group jobs, perspective, persistence, receiving feedback. Thanks for doing a great job helping us!

    My child has dyslexia. Do you have any intervention tips for reading for a 3rd grader? He’s still struggling as a reader due to phonemic challenges.

    Hey, there Susan! I have a student who really struggles with verbal comprehension and gaining understanding what is being taught, very creative child, but new lessons seem to almost immediately exhaust her mentally, do you have any suggestions?

    My child struggles with oral reading fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. I am looking for fun activities to do at home that will he will be interested in to help outside of school.

    For the word ladder- do you give the magnet letters to EACH student? So if I have a small group of 5 I would need a set of 5?

    • @MsChyou
      @MsChyou 2 года назад

      Yes she does…I sometimes use mini sticky notes instead because I don’t have magnet letters sorted to easily access. I just write out the letters they need for that group of words

    Hey Susan-thanks so much for the links to core phonics. I clicked but the link is no longer valid. Can you reply with the updated link to the one you show? My copy and the ones I google are fuzzy. Thanks

    I am applying to be an Education Assistant focusing on literacy intervention for grades K through 3rd grade. I have a Masters degree in Library Science but had to retire early because of COVID shutting down my library. My first inkling to understand how difficult it is to learn how to read came to me through Maryanne Wolf's book, Reader Come Home: ruclips.net/video/43xCzI4KSbo/видео.html She explained that humans have only been reading words for about 6,000 years. In preparing for my interview next week, I found your channel. I am learning so much about phonics. I have had to start from the beginning with hearing for the first time the words Phoneme (rhymes with anemia) and Phonological Awareness. If I get this job, it will help me supplement my income to continue be able to pay my rising rent!
