Eastport, Maine Walking Tour, July 2012, part 1. Walking tour of historic downtown Eastport, Maine. Waterfront, historic store fronts, Passamaquoddy Bay.
I’m surprised you didn’t go into more detail about the fisherman statue and such. Since Eastport was used for the show “Murder in Small Town X” as it’s main filming location and the statue was a tribute to Angel Juarbe Jr. Who took part in the show before 9/11 happened
Building at 8:42 was a can factory, there was a second building and the happy crab was built on it’s foundation. Pickled herring is the Landmark 1887 now, Bank Square pizza is now a trinket shop. I was related to half the town when I was a kid in the 60s and 70s and am going back as soon as I retire
You’re welcome, my best childhood memories were from my time in Eastport. I can remember the old Havey & Wilson drug store on Water Street and some of the old ice cream and other original fixtures still in the building and they were working on the building last September and I hope they will keep them somehow. We knew Mary Lou that owned Bank Square pizza and we were there the last day she was open.
I'm envious of the nice cool weather. In Texas, where I live, it's normally around 80 degrees early in the morning on July 12, heading for a high close to 100. My mother was born in and lived in Eastport until she was married and moved away, in 1945. Thanks for posting these beautiful scenes.
As much as l Love Maine, it is not the Eastern most state in the USA. That belongs to Alaska. Yes, Alaska because the end of the Aleutian islands is so far West that it crosses the dateline, which oddly enough makes it the eastern most point in the USA
Still a timeless video of a beautiful place.
Very nice work William!

Vacationed there in October of 2020. Peaceful and relaxing and the whale watch experience was magical.

I wonder what kind of work is in this area. I've been looking at houses for sale in this county and that seems promising.
