No. Unless there is abuse or cheating. What does the Bible say about divorce? When you get married its not just a promise y'all make with each other to have and to hold in sickness and in health ect. You are making a covenant with God.
I don't have a religion, but obviously, yes. Abuse, stonewalling, criticism and etc, in those times, divorce is useful. Downgrades happen, and divorce will be needed.
Divorce is not something you rush into. Perfect marriages or relationships aren't real; they're all different. What works for one person might not work for someone else. But I've come to understand that there's always a solution to problems. Five years ago, my wife and I were close to divorcing because of issues in our marriage, but we found a way to fix them. It was tough, but we survived.
I totally get how important your words are, and I really want to be happy too. I'm in a relationship, and even though we're apart now, I can't think of life without her; my love for her is big. I really miss her, and I'm determined to bring her back. We've tried different ways, like therapy, to fix things.
Parting ways with someone you deeply care about is never easy, but in my particular circumstance, I was aided by a spiritual mentor who averted the collapse of my marriage. Her name is Suzanne Ann Walters.
I appreciate your direction. I'll swiftly look her up online. Thanks. I'm hopeful that following this course of action will bring about positive changes for me too; her absence is deeply felt.
I am amazed, the wisdom montell has about marrage its priceless, thank you creezy as we use to call you in Denton, Tx, i still remeber lecrae in 2004 passing out Cds of real talk and the 116 compulation album. I was at a store by the UNT Campus and this 6'4 man came up to me and asked if i liked rapped music and gave me a CD and my life hasnt been the same ever since GOD Bless you Creeezy!
Just here cheesing and happy for Lecrae! I like the direction the podcast is taking, the guests, and the quality of the conversations. I know I love Lecrae for real because why am I just happy for him? Lol
If a person is in an abusive relationship, I know for a fact that god wouldn't want them to be there. Divorce was never the will of God, but because some people married before they came to Christ. And ended up marrying someone that was not the right person. Sometimes they have no choice but to divorce. I will never tell a woman who's having her ribs. Bruised, and who's having her face bashed in every day to stay with her husband just because the bible says that marriage is sacred. That man already broke the marriage vows. Anyway, because jesus said love your wife as jesus loves the church that he would give his life for her. Once a man or a woman in marriage, but especially the man hits the other. Those valves no longer have any secrecy. I will never tell a woman or even a man to stay in a marriage where they are fearing for their lives and their children's lives. Even though that is not my story, it always annoys me when I see christians blanket statementing Completely, ignoring those people in very unique and awful situations. There have been women that have died because of christians that Wrongfully advised them to stay in the marriage. God would never want his daughters to be abused.
Divorce is an option. Choose it or not! But it is an option. It's in the Bible. While He may hate it.. Because of sin and folk being out of order.. He made provisions for it. I get what people mean but.. It's a whole option.
Exactly! We get into marriage with the mindset that it's permanent. Of course if there is abuse (which isn't that often) then a couple should part. These days people don't allow themselves to heal they quickly get involved with someone else.
@jasonrichardson9692, Although I agree, I feel you're never really prepared for a marriage until you are married. It will test your patience, beliefs, and all the things you spoke about prior.
I absolutely love his distinction between nakedness and transparency. That speaks to a very specific area in my life right now, I just did not have the language for it and now I do.
Love the vulnerability and transparency of this episode…The revelation of being something “in addition to being more than what the world knew him as…” was so awakening for me like it’s a true identity moment makes you stand still I genuinely got chills! So inspiring…BTW just in case y’all didn’t know (clears throat) Montell Jordan is 🗣️5-fine years old (55) idk what fountain of youth he been dranking from but he looks goodt!
THIS! Has 💯 % blessed my soul 🥹. I am BLOWN AWAY. Just the walk down memory lane with the east coast/west coast thing and to hear an eye witness story from MASTA P!!!! Oh my goodness. Praise be to God our Father for the connections that can be made in this day and time! Thank you both my brothers for your inspiration. Cause all I really got is 💯 #nothinless
The smile that Montell has as he reflects his “going through” is so motivating. I can tell it wasn’t easy and most times he describes were painful, but today he smiles. It reminds me that everything will be okay because when we come out of our “going through”, on the other side of that is a smile and a testimony. Thank You Lord ♥️
I didn't know he wrote Nobody's Supposed To Be Here. That is one of my top 10 fav R&B songs. I'm about to google him, cuz clearly I have no clue, and im curious to know all that MJ has worked on. I never even heard the version of Careless whispers he did 😮 that's another song I LOVE!!!
This was truly a blessing. So grateful the Lord never gives up on us. Always been a fan of Montell Jordan. Praise God for his ministry. But let’s talk about the true star of this podcast. That hat is fire!🔥 🔥🔥🔥😁
This was an excellent interview. His example on how God wants oil but ppl want blood was a nugget. Thank you both for this heart felt interview. Psalm 51:10 comes to mind when he said that (Psalm 51:10, Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me).
Brother I really needed this. I have been struggling with some things in my heart and it’s like God is letting know that He sees me. I love when He does that 🙌🏽
I loved this ❤. REAL AND RAW and it was like sitting in person with some good people and learning and growing and just listening and taking it all in to my spirit and mind
Jesus, i still Love You deeply & have full faith & trust in you, that will never change!!!!! You are my Master, Teacher, Protector,Redeemer,My Love, Shepherd, my Lord of Lord, my King of Kings, my Lord, my Father, my God! I Love You sp very, very much!!!
I’m so glad this channel showcases celebrities’ walk with Christ. People need to hear other people’s testimonies to remind us that Jesus can find us even in the midst of the valley and even in the mountains. Jesus saves…
I am so grateful for all of the podcasts that honor God. The transparency from tje men is what men need to see how amazing God's geace is and that there are, indeed, strong men who love Jeaus who can lead and PROPERLY disciple other men to become amazing disciples. Thank You, Jesus!
Love it! Context is always key. Also, the vows are the vows so why we so quick to jump to "ah, well what about these exceptions....". I'll tell you why, fear😒 does perfect love cast out fear🤔
You betta PREACH Montel! Yes sahhh! That's how sinful the people were who crucified Jesus, they cried to release Barabas a known murderer to be pardoned and to crucify JESUS CHRIST The Blameless Perfect Lamb! Heresy
Divorce is an option only if it is on Biblical ground. Jesus Himself said in the case of adultery for example. Also when in danger physically and other harmful cases if restoration is not possible. But if restoration is possible (even after adultery) choose for that because restoration is always best.
Legacy: Not sure if this ideology holds water against scripture. 1) What is God’s legacy with his creation when he destroyed everyone other than Noah’s family 2) Marriage is an earthly institution and Jesus said you aren’t married in heaven 3) Even if you have the best marriage one person may die decades from the other 4) Your wife and kids have free will to follow or reject Christ 5) Jesus may return and end it all with the New Jerusalem!
Should divorce be an option in marriage?
No. Unless there is abuse or cheating. What does the Bible say about divorce? When you get married its not just a promise y'all make with each other to have and to hold in sickness and in health ect. You are making a covenant with God.
Based on the Bible no. Unless in specific circumstances
Yes. If abuse and infidelity are a factor. 100% yes. Otherwise, people need to work things out. The church, couple therapy are all helpful.
I don't have a religion, but obviously, yes. Abuse, stonewalling, criticism and etc, in those times, divorce is useful. Downgrades happen, and divorce will be needed.
Only in abusive situations. Infidelity, physical, emotional or mental abuse.
Divorce is not something you rush into. Perfect marriages or relationships aren't real; they're all different. What works for one person might not work for someone else. @SERIKAmraba, it's good to hear... you two tried. And there is still love. ❓️Is love still enough (you think)?

I can't wait!!! I go to the church where he used to lead worship. That church has been a blessing and helped me grow in Christ.

Montel gave so many gems 💎 on here 🤯. Be transparent not everyone can handle nakedness! We want blood 🩸 but God wants oil from pressing us 🙌🏾
Montel was dropping that holy spirt wisdom

How do I create my rap persona like Mr. 3-2’s personas as both the Governor and wicked Buddha baby? I’m an aspiring Mexican rapper
