You have made me want to visit Santiago! It looks so cool. One tip I have for you is to take a small umbrella and use it religiously while out walking in the sun. I use one anytime I am out walking in the intense sun. Does it sometimes look dorky? Sure but who cares. Ladies of old knew to use parasols to protect their skin! As always, great video.
So happy you got to highlight Chile. Looking forward to your next video and REALLY hoping you try actual Chilean food. If not, next time you go make sure to try the authentic stuff: pan con palta, humitas, mote con huesillo, pastel de choclo, empanadas de queso, empanadas de pino, empanadas de marisco, paila marina, churrasco, completo, etc. if you didn’t make it to Cerro San Cristobal this time, next time you don’t actually have to hike it. You can take a bus up, teleférico, etc and then walk a little bit to the statute but not a full hike. There’s also a pool up there to enjoy the summer and food stands up there too.
I didn't this time, but I will definitely add it to the list for next time!! 😍😍😍

I just got back from Santiago last week and while the teleferico is a charming way to get to the top of San Cristobol take the bus. The line for the funicular is ridiculous. You can buy your ticket on line, too, from turistik and save yourself time, too.

I liked to see this video, when you told about the places you know in south America like São Paulo in Brazil, my home country, I smiled. So happy you liked Santiago!! I know a lot of people commented about the food, but I just want to say that next time you should try some bread. I know its such a small thing (and pretty boring compared to all the food Chile has to offer) but the bread here is really really good. Next time you go to jumbo, just buy some marraquetas o hallullas (or even better, dobladas). You can have it with butter but even alone is really good. Hope to see you here soon!

I was amazed at how clean the streets & sidewalks were.
That was in the area she was in, by the way. Parts of Santiago look like a war zone, a leftover from the riots and covid.
The restaurants are terrific in South America. Food tastes great and fresh, affordable and you get your monies worth.
I have a video suggestion for you! I searched your videos and if you haven't already it would be so awesome if you could do a jet lag video! I know usually you push through since you're only in a city for a short time and want to experience it. Buuut if say you were traveling for vacation I'm curious what you would do to get over the jet lag, as well as after the trip home. I want sooo badly to go back to London but living on the US west coast it made the jet lag bruuutal especially after I came home. Like living in a daze for a solid week after getting home. Such a bummer!

Hi Kat!👋 What a fun video! I always get a kick of how much you like some of the cool bathrooms! When my daughter was a little girl, every time we would go to a restaurant, she would say she needed to go to the bathroom just to check out how pretty (or not) they were, lol!😂

With the dyson air, it might be worth checking out the uk ones. As dyson is / was a uk company and don’t forget you can claim back the tax too.

When you buy the Dyson in Germany, make sure you don't open the box and that you keep the receipt. This way you can claim the tax (called VAT) back at the airport, allowing you to save 19% on the purchase. Just make sure you don't use it before you leave the EU. It's a bummer, but you can only claim the VAT back because you have not used the product in the tax jurisdiction. If you use it in the tax jurisdiction, you are liable to pay the tax and thus cannot claim it back.
Hi Kat, happy to see you got to visit my mom's city. I do have a bone to pick. In Chile the proximity to the ocean gives you food options unavailable to other places. You need to try authentic chilean dishes. Not peruvian. If you go there try their food but in Chile you have such variety I hope next time you visit you try some sea bass, some curanto, a few empanadas chilenas and please try some pastel de choclo yum. Later 👋🇨🇱 sightseeing try areas like Cerro Santa Lucia, cerro San Cristobal where the virgin is is a bit far from the hotel. But please beware of your camera and belongings is a bit risky. And mom says to go in goups dont try alone. Enjoy the rest....talk to locals try some spanish phrases. Their wit is fun.

While boarding my flight yesterday I saw a flight attendant that I thought looked like you but I don't think it was actually you on a flight from Phoenix to Detroit yesterday. After I sat down in my seat they did announce the crew was Dallas based so I was like maybe but it feels unlikely.

The only thing I suggest not to take in Chile are over the counter medication, specially, Ibuprofen. My son had an extreme allergic reaction and we ended at the ER in a private clinic for several hours.😮
Couldn't you buy an universal adapter to convert so you can use your other curler if there is one.
I've heard that they can over time ruin your stuff, but feel free to correct me if I'm wrong😳
@@KatNesbitt I have an adapter that I have used for years and never had any problems. I travel internationally about 3 times a year so that might make a difference.
