@@Rotodojo-yf9sq I know but even the developers didn't refer to that as a sequel. it was to shattered dimensions what miles morales is to Spider-Man ps4
This was one of the earliest memories I have getting excited over a game. It was the first game I ever preordered. My dad would bring me down to the basement to watch the latest trailer revealing which Spider-Man was in the game and who was voicing him, and when I got my hands on the game I swear I played it non stop. I miss those kinda moments
This game is special. It's effectively a big part of Spider-Man history. This game jumpstarted the popularity of the "Spider-Verse" concept. No Way Home, Into the Spider-Verse, they came after. They wouldn't happen without this game.
This game was awesome. I played the hell out of it. I think my completion rate was 86%. Fun fact: Scorpion doesn’t exist in the 2099 universe. He's actually from a reimagining of the continuity called Timestorm: 2009-2099.
Dan Slott the writer of this game eventually went and wrote the spider verse comics which eventually led to the recent multiverse Spider-Man movies live action and animated
The Deadpool level in this game is my favorite because it's the most open level where you can swing around more with Spider-Man and I just love the banter between Spider-Man and Deadpool
5:37 Now that you've mentioned it, I heard that there was a scrapped remaster of Shattered Dimensions and Edge of Time for PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. It was intended to build hype for Insomniac's Spider-Man game. It was cancelled though for legal reasons.
How would those remasters build hype for a Spider-Man game that’s being made from a completely different developer, also the fact it was PlayStation exclusive. A Multiplatform remastered Spider-Man games would have only built hype from the PlayStation side
Hey if you want the Spider-Man shattered dimensions but I want to have Spider-Man web of shadows, I’ve played it for years but it doesn’t have a scratch on it, it’s the Xbox 360
This is my favorite spider man game. I remember playing this game so much. I played it on the Wii, and sure some things were missed in the game, but I still enjoyed
The price of these spider man games are fuckin nutty lol, needless to say I found web of shadows for 40 bucks recently and it’s a childhood favorite. Great vid, Matt
I am so glad I kept my copies of the PS2 Raimi games, PS3 Web of Shadows, Edge of Time, and the TASM games. I love the fact that I’m able to go back and play all these Spider-Man games that has given me so much joy by letting me be my favorite super hero of all time… and also the fact that I don’t have to pay a crud load of money to get them… yeah, I can honestly say I’m very fortunate. Although I wish I could have gotten a copy of Ultimate Spider-Man back when it came out. I never actually found a copy in any game store in my area because it sold out so quickly.
More Spiderman. Awesome. I borrowed this game from a buddy of mine when this came out. Never finished it, unfortunately. Like you, love the 1940's era. The gangster medium is something I adore and I wish a company like Rockstar would make a mobster game and turn into a franchise. Point being, love Noire Spiderman. I would hope that Insomniac somehow would mimic a story like this to keep Spiderman stories continue and not just Peter but I'd love more spin off games like they did with Miles. I believe that Spiderman 2 can open that door and I would absolutely love a Mysterio DLC to explore the trauma that Peter will have due to the Symbiote and whatever plans Kraven has in S2. Personally, I'd love to hear your take on the Prince of Persia franchise or maybe a cool game like Brutal Legend but I certainly wouldn't complain about more Spiderman or whatever other videos you come up with as their all entertaining. I know you break down news and review games on your main channel but I all this Spiderman talk, I think It'd be cool to hear some theories and or your wishes for S2. Doesn't just have to be S2 it could be multiple games that you could apply that into new videos. All that said, don't get burned out. Keep your well being as your priority. Thanks for inviting us onto this yacht. Really dug it.
Crazy to think this game went up in price now. I bought it in 2022 for about 60 dollars, which is probably the cheapest I was able to find it. It’s a gem for sure.
Super glad i bought and kept all the 360 spiderman games also have ultimate spiderman on the og xbox. They are still fun to play, as well as the captain America and xmen origins wolverine game.

I got this for PC as a kid and was sadly never able to run it on my family computer. I held onto it for years, and finally got a gaming PC in 2021. It runs phenomenally and I'm really excited that I kept it. I also have Neversoft Spider-Man on disk and that runs unbelievably well now too, looks and plays great. These games are so well made and hold up!

You should definitely play the Hulk games. The 2003 Hulk tie in game is a surprisingly good beat em up with hot or miss stealth sections, and Ultimate Destruction is legit a masterpiece. Their is also the Incredible Hulk movie tie in that..... exists....
You know, I think you're one of the few people I'd really get along with well in person, Matty. There's a ton of RUclipsrs out there that I think are cool, but that's only what I know from their videos. But with you, we have a good deal in common that we'd probably be pretty good friends.

Just like how the Spider-Man games became more expensive after the release of Spider-Man no way home Its pretty obvious that Batman games prices are going to go up after the release of the Batman next month brand synergy is just what happens in real life you see it all the time
The prices of Spider-Man games have gone up moreso because they're not available digitally. You can't go on PS Store or Xbox Live and buy these anymore because Activision lost rights to Marvel Games and they were removed several years ago. I don't think the release of the Batman movie will affect the prices of Batman games, at least, not the Arkham ones.
This is the one game I kick myself for not getting when it was cheap for my PS3 collections. I kept thinking (along with Web of Shadows) that it would be like the PS2 games and (until recent times) would remain inexpensive, so I focused on stuff like Lollipop Chainsaw, Folklore and 3D Dot Game Heroes among others when they were like $5-$10 and planned on getting the Spiderman games later. I didn't know! However I did get this and Web of Shadows on the Nintendo DS that play like Metroidvania games and thankfully those are still pretty cheap. Not on the level of their console big brothers but worth a playthrough nonetheless.
Well the thing about 2099 is that he isn’t Parker but another character. It’s technically the same timeline as the normal Spider-Man in this game. Pretty sure Parker is dead at that time?
I didn't know you played as Ultimate Spiderman. I play the DS version, and instead Neil Patrick Harris Voice Amazing Spiderman is Josh Keaton voice Amazing in the DS.
What's crazy is that this game inspired the whole Spider-verse idea. We need a sequel to this. I can just imagine that we can have different rosters of Spideys: Spiderman India, Spider Gwen, Miles Morales, etc.
