To all the people that are questioning why the judges haven’t turned is because while the singer beautifully came up with their own version of the song, they failed to hide the fact that the absence of the high notes wasn’t part of the cover but lack of confidence in projecting them. The judges will always appreciate a reduction in the pitch frequency as long as you deliver the song to its character rather than keep it at the original pitch and skip the highs nearly altogether.
Those 3 judges (?) who didn't turn their chairs were obviously have BIG hearing problems! The show is called "THE VOICE" and duh, obviously this guy has the voice of a true singer. He did really well, very nice cover and rendition of the song. I do not think that those judges are doing their job well. 🤔🤔🤔
Thank you for taking the time to comment on this video! I truly appreciate it and I love that my performance can make a bit of a discussion and you are almost 100% correct.. But I just felt like I should give a quick comment on why I did the song like I did.. The truth is that for all my performances on The Voice I ironically had some serious issues with my voice and had to work around being sick for all my performances. We talked about doing some sort of shot directly into my vocal chords, but since this would have been my first doing it and it can affect how the vocal chords work, we chose to change what song I should sing and that’s also why I saved the high note for the end.. As well as why I dropped the “Matthias Nebel Note”.. Not that It would have been as great as his version by any stretch of the imagination, but it would have been fun to try it out.. I even got a “no talking” rule from my mentor, vocal coach and doctor as well… So that´s the short story.. Even so, I had a blast and would do it again in a heartbeat.. It was so much fun and would have been even more fun if my voice was 100%... But hey.. Can´t win em all ;) Have a great day and thank you again!
