Super busy on set The last few days shooting a new documentary film so please enjoy this partial episode from my Lear Film online program! 🎥‼️
This is a great hook to sign up, not gonna lie. :(
Question: When shooting in S log should i look at the reading on the meter and then add 1.5 -2 stops? Sorry if that's a dumb question, but it confuses me. Thanks for the video!
Yes
Never used one but am really trying to work on my exposure so this is super handy. :D Thank you!
would you say this is more accurate than zebras or false colors? like on the bmpcc's for example. that's what i have right now and i use a $5 app i found for my iphone that gives your the room's color temperature and tint and it seems to be working, but i'm always looking to improve on where i can.
Hi Tom and Jacob. Just wondering what you do if you’re using a ND filter? Is there a setting to input the amount of stops you’re using? Thank you 🙏🏻🎥
My understanding is if you want to shoot wide open at f/2.8 for instance & your light meter falls at f/5.6 you'd go up that amount with you ND's so .3 is 1 stop, .6 is 2 stops. Knowing f/5.6 is 2 stops away from f/2.8 you'd slide in that .6 ND and you'll have proper exposure. Again, that's my understanding of that matter, I'm sure there's some more technicals but hope that helps :)
Thank you for this lesson.
Great lesson!
But wait a minute since the light meter gives us an aperture reading why puting an aperture reading initially since the light meter will still give u an aperture reading
Highly recommend this course!
I was literally waiting for a video on this
THANK YOUUUU
Nice video. Thanks.

Helpful
Great lesson I have a light meter use here in there maybe I need to break it out a little bit more
:)
If you don’t know that tech stuff he’s talking about avoiding talking about so you won’t get discouraged: get good son.
Go learn about it! Do your best and learn about it over time and try to practice and think about it when you can! Keep learning!
Keep it up
Is this lesson in the cinematography course or no?
Yes the full episode is
@@TheBuffNerds beautiful perfect, thank you!
Damn... the way it cut off 😔
First 02:16 is total fucking waste of time. Good information after that. Nothing on spot metering. Ugly abrupt finish. Keep up the medicore work!
I e blue in the face saying this. This is not a tool, it’s an instrument. Stop calling everything a tool.
OMG lol
Yeah okay you are a "filmmaker" because you have RUclips subscribers. RUclipsrs are filmmakers just like John Ford and Fritz Lang!
Stop blabbering and get to the point!
Dude, how about passing judgement once your channel surpasses @TheBuffNerds subscriber count...
