The people who show up at the border and turn themselves in are not the problem. I see hundreds of them every day. Oh, forget that wall thing. It is completely useless. I have been out there and have seen for myself. I have seen individuals go through the wall like it is not even there. I can recall during one of my days at the border (from the south side of the border) people were challenging each other on who could get over, around, under, or through the wall the fastest. One guy took another 18 seconds. East of El Paso, one man took less than 2 seconds to go through the wall. In Douglas, there is a building so close to the border (in Mexico) that you can jump out the windows into the U.S.
To stop people from coming to the U.S. is to make it undesirable to come here in the first place.

I waited in line for 15 years for my immigration petition to be processed and approved. I respected American laws and waited in my country of origin for 15 years to immigrate to this country legally. It was a very long process that required very hard work and an endless number of documents. It’s unfair for people like me now seeing others just crossing the border like that.

I came to the US a few years ago. But I did that legally - waited for over a year to be approved by USCIS, went to the interview, both my fiance and I worked our a$$es off to pay for everything: fees, fees for fees and fees of fees for processing fees. Paid our taxes, trips to the consulates and field offices, complied with every single requirement. It was hard and long process. Once my case has been approved and work authorization granted, I've found a job within a month. Of course, my case is different than some others, but I 100% agreed that everyone who wishes to come, work and build a dream life must do so with a full respect of the country they are coming to: i.e. do it legally
My parents did the same. We came here when we needed sponsorship to come here back in 1958.

My grandparents came over from Italy many years back, they had to go through Ellis Island and had to stay there for a period of time as they went through all the requirements to get into the USA!

Cops can ask me for ID but not them if they are suspected illegals. Why do I have to obey laws (as a citizen of the US) but illegals are protected? Just by being here they are breaking the law - and the cops can't call immigration. Illegals have had rallies on the state house lawn and they are untouchable. How is this right? If the cops have a reason to stop someone they should be able to ask and then call immigration if they are here illegally.

I work at a homeless shelter in Chicago and our population has doubled over the past few months to over 700 people staying there and half of them are new migrants. It’s putting a strain on our resources.
I don’t understand why homeless in the USA there is way too much work to do the question is why they don’t want to work?

Additionally, it is crucial to block military-aged men at all costs, as they have nothing to lose. The family unit, on the other hand, can bring value to American communities because they are willing to work for the American dream and have too much at stake. They are also responsible enough to go through the proper processing, as I have witnessed many times in my own experience.
