Hey Hodgie. Something going on with the crocs. I’ve got crocs at most of the regulars I fish. They’ve never really come in close or even looked interested in us. Last couple weeks I’ve had one bail us up at toomulla/ saltwater creek, one stalk is a t surveyors creek and last night at the mouth of Althaus creek, had a really good one 3.5ish fully stalk me and my mate finally popping up only a couple meters off the bank right in front of us, looking basically through us. It wanted to eat us for sure. Then it moved over to the other side of the mouth at the Cutheringa park and chased two families off the beach there. They’re keen as. Dunno if it’s anything to do with mating season but they want to eat big mammals at moment. Not fish.
@@benny82ish yeah mate. It’s been a bit weird of late, and would guess it’s got to do with mating season. I used to work a fair bit with Malcolm Douglas and we used to talk about this sort of stuff a bit. As far as putting on weight for the ‘fighting’ season, red meat puts on weight quicker than fish, and I believe they love the kill as well. Pigs, cattle, wallabies, dogs etc and yep, people are at a higher risk at this time of year. With a supposed forecast of one of the biggest wets on record from a few experts, maybe the I’m;upset to mate and fight for mates is more intense……dunno mate but glad your on the ball with them mate. 👌🏻😉
