What we have to worry about is down the line when pacing picks up speed and the prices in the player market stay the same or even raise with galaxy opals etc if we are attempting to replace a galaxy opal player at each position every week we will be left struggling to find ways to make 200,000+ after the 60% value loss on our players every week with no auction house option available.
It seems like 2k is releasing cards that fall into the meta of another defense and just sitting on center all game. We’re consistently just getting lock down defenders that have every defensive badge in the game but yet we have cards that can’t dribble well and whose releases all feel baited at this point. This whole idea of pacing is going to go to waste when they open the flood gates on cracked cards once they need to make money. I also feel like they could’ve made yao good and to counter that they could’ve done agendas to get the cards from wembys set for free like they did with Shaq. Tuesday sets should have an equal chance pack as none of the cards that have come out on Tuesday this season have been game breaking.
Cards not having clamps and range doesn’t make them unusable, as a hawks fan I’ve used that Bogdan plenty and he’s perfectly usable, also made a lob city cp3 team and he is also very good. Maybe you need every card to have all those badges because of how you play but personally if all you do is have all the best cards and don’t have to try then what’s the point in playing, the challenge of using not perfect cards makes the game fun IMO

I will say, hopefully better pacing means that more DM at the end of the year will be usable against god squads. Last year there was one really good center that wasn’t EG/Invincible being Muresan. Balance is the best I can remember it ever being. Yes pacing is slow yes everything runs through 2k but what is coming from this current MyTEAM game setup is versatile/different lineups. Outside of Kobe being head and shoulders above everyone else still every other position has 3-5 interchangeable best options that bring slightly different skill sets to the table. you can see great teams that have different players in it. Center? Wang, Wemby, Chandler (free), Robinson, Embiid(free). Power forward? Chet (Free), Chandler(Free), Embiid(Free), Malone, Kirilenko(free), Paolo(free), You can do the same thing with the small forward position. Really the only two sure fire best players at their positions are Oscar and Kobe and behind them at point guard and shooting guard you have essentially the same situation as the other positions with 3-5 guys who are all interchangeable depending on how much currency you have available to you and or what player fits your style the best.

Every card in the game is grindable. Last year a top tier card took a 8-10 hour grind. This year in that time u have enough mt to buy most pink diamonds.

They grind the game for a couple days straight n have top 5 card in the game if they don’t open packs. Last year you got maybe 350-400 mt per tto game. This year you get 1000. Plus the vault/ wheel spin. I made 60k from tt online yesterday in a couple hours.

You enjoy paying 120k for diamonds in February and losing 60% of your purchases ? I agree some of his complaints are exaggerated but I think a lot of it has to do with how non-interactive this game is because you can’t play around with different cards

I like being able to have time enjoying my favorite cards before it’s time to upgrade every week and drop more money. He may say a card isn’t top tier but isn’t always complaining and shitting on every card. I remember when pd pg came out dbg was shitting on the card and he’s now arguably top 2-3 at his position.

The path to all star is also a reason why “if you don’t like the card wait for the next day” isn’t always good
