    Video that aligns with the first 10mins or so of this recording can be watched here
    ruclips.net/video/dGfi5qpsdbw/видео.html
    First truck arrives in the video about 2m30, which I think is about 3mins or so in the audio at my best guess.

    Ah the sound of venting gas bottles... Has much changed in the way CFA and FRV co-ord now?

    The dispatch and operations sound much like the US operations. The trucks are different but the operations are more similar to the US than the UK. The video is awesome.

    Actually this recording is really good for debrief for the leaders at scene, seems to be too many chiefs at the beginning, cfa need a better system of when requesting additional trucks. Should be an alarm response like mfb have

      Montrose dude sounds like he needs to relax a bit lol but good effort by him anyway. Nice to hear the MFB blokes were cool and calm the whole time! Too bad PT26 and TB22 were both out of service at the time :(

      @@AJ-dv7hf well when a factory is going that well I think you’ve got a reason to be panicked. He still did a very good job. I think the MFB/ FRV system works but the way CFA can call for any amount of appliances seems to work very well. Maybe not structure fires as much but grass fires definitely.

      @@Centralvicemergency Yeah but he’s a fire officer conducting the incident, he needs to keep calm, if he’s a member of the public he can panic all he wants, but that’s not the case.

    is there still pumper 26 a or b or just the pumper 26

    • @leadingfiremancross7211
      @leadingfiremancross7211 3 года назад +2

      They usually run a PT and a pumper, but when this job happened the PT was out of service, so that’s why it’s P26A and B.

    Hhhmmm - in the early stages why not just call for a SF3AL (You'll get the Dandy LP if you're MFB phobic) - in 2018 anyone would make that call rather than a LP from miles away when a TB is closer to start with. All the initial responding MFB pumps are heavy to supply the LP, as is Boronia if you asked for them with the Dandy LP instead of Dandy's P2 (Such is the shame of CFA not having a GARS system somewhere in modern times and MMR to give a common fireground channel). Sounds like Bobby Morrison on P26A - so there's a level head. Did the RDO self respond - coz he seemed to have NFI what was going on initially! Anyway, good learning job for the Montrose officer first on scene - "Keep calm and RECEO!" FFS, Knox G.O. - you're not important on a structural job - leave the VF operators alone, they're busy enough.

      Hey i didn't think cfa used the sf3al like mfb do, i thought they just used. Make pumpers 6 and tankers 2 for eg

      Vic fire miss understood Montrose when asking for dandy ladder platform and there pumper too, she desp dandy pumper 2 🤣 thinking that is what he meant, surely there was a closer pumper than dandy

      @@and526625 Hey mate. regardless, pump 2 would've been sent as pump 1 is for primary calls.
      Of course there are closer heavys and mediums. but, and forgive me if I'm wrong or it's changed in the last couple years.
      If the bronto was called, pump 2 would respond with it. ✌
