As someone who is just starting out writing for a nonprofit, what would you say is the average yearly number of grants that you find to apply for? I feel like I have had a difficult time locating grants that we qualify for to submit applications. I’m not sure how often or how regularly grants become available on average for nonprofits so I’m not sure if it’s me or if this is normal!
@FirefighterGirl7 Love the questions, and welcome to the field! I have two answers for you. And feel free to ask more questions! (1) I have a playlist of grants for nonprofits, and each video is full of links in the description to funders and info about them (all free), ruclips.net/p/PLqcBLkKVDijTg-9N1_F29wE0Gt-0izJgz (2) There is an annual survey of grantseeking, which can give you some context about how the nonprofit world (at least according to the respondents) pursues grants. At this link, scroll down a bit to find an overview as well as the fully-detailed report, depending on your interest. grantstation.com/state-of-grantseeking
@kenisha4285 Thank you for watching! Grants are flexible enough that you could be in the US and write grants for people in Australia. BUT please check international contracting and employment law and practices; I am not an expert there by any means.
I was volunteer for long time but now I am 35 y.o and i need a job to my expenses. I never could apply for a grant because i haven't a NGO. how i can do that change from volunteering to a job?
@gonzalomarmol5766 Check the links in the description below the video. I have a lot of websites linked there that post grant writing jobs, across the globe! Look under the heading "Websites that post grant career opportunities". Thank you for watching!
@Jo71603 What are you neighborhood's needs? There might be local resources available from nonprofits that get the grants, then provide the services at low or no cost.
@@j.y.3604 Neighborhoods are becoming a focus of some community foundations in larger cities, though they may or may not want the neighborhood to apply directly. They may want an IRS-registered nonprofit to apply on behalf of the neighborhood. I spelled this out in one of my older videos: ruclips.net/video/a9-N2x_-pFo/видео.html
Thanks for all the links in the description!
