This is the seventh video I’ve watched explaining the metaverse, and I still don’t get it.
Watch Ready Player One movie by Steven Spielberg. It got more clearer to me after watching it.

For anyone interested in thus subject just study gaming. Games that are first person shooters...where you never see your character...like Apex and Warzone make 1 billion a year. You don't even see your skins. People spend thousands now so other people can see their skins.

@Ryan Horner yes i believe it does still:) my nephews have spent thousands on skins and what not and it nothing tangible. You’re literally spending your life(time spent working) for skins etc. That are not even real. Trading your hours or your parents hours of their precious life for a fake item. It’s just my opinion on it but Im not a gamer and I realize what the reasoning is for spending the money. I. But I get why you spend it, I just wouldn’t want to spend my money on this. But to each their own.

@@byme9829 Yeah ryan horner hit it on the head, video games are a hobby for most people. some make money off of it. it provides entertainment. a way to escape reality something like a movie, where you would immerse yourself. I play video games, but don't spend too much on it. when there is work to get done, or things to do. always do that first.

The items will be owned via blockchain technology. You could have for example a virtual chair and the only official copy of that chair. The real Mona Lisa is the only 1 in existence, yet you could print out a copy on your printer. The original art is authenticated to be the real piece. That reflects the value. Blockchain allows the network to confirm your sole ownership of that chair… hence ownership.
