From Psych Tech to Psychiatric Hospital Nursing Leader: William's Career Journey at MTMHI

William Steele's 10+ years at Middle Tennessee Mental Health Institute in Nashville have been fast-paced and rewarding! He started as a psych tech, and that ignited a passion for serving people living with mental illness. He balanced going back to school on nights and weekends to get a nursing degree with full-time employment and family obligations, and he came out on the other side ready to make an impact. After about 10 and a half years, William's career journey has led him to Psychiatric Hospital Nurse Unit Manager, and he's showing no signs of slowing down!
