I am your dorky EV charging buddy in the video. So glad you had a great, safe trip. So glad you made it to Wally’s. And dodging the out-of-order chargers is part of the experience. 😀 I am sure with more experience with the bike you would get more comfortable with how to maximize the battery range and minimize time spent charging. You are right… an electric bike would be amazing as an in-town bike. I think the thing I like the most about electric vehicles is how quiet they are. I imagine riding this up the great river road would be mind expanding. Looking forward to your future videos!
Hey there. Great video really enjoyed it. One small correction. The Livewire only charges at Level 1 and Level 3. Level 1 takes about 10 hours to charge from 0-100. You stated at the start of the video that it took 30-40 hours at Level 1. You can plug into a Level 2 charger but the bike will only charge at Level 1 speed from that.
Love your channel Queen, the esthetic and subject matter is always on point! Very cool getting real world experience and information about electric vs gas
It's interesting to see someone finally do a video on the Livewire. I can't believe how little it costs to charge the bike and how quickly it can be done. I feel like on the longer trips a 40 minute break is perfect to keep your energy up. I just done like the range on them. Livewire would be a perfect bike for daily commuting to save a lot on gas, but I don't think i'd use it for super long trips. Thanks for all the info!

I think this electric bike isn't a good idea, #1, it is inconvenient, #2, you can't hear it, so accidents are going to be more common, #3, the horsepower is a joke, #4, if you want to go cross country, where are all of the charging stations, believe me, these small towns are not all equipped with these stations, #5, with the constant rolling blackouts, and the problem with electricity and the consumption problems, why is Harley pushing such a lame duck? We have electricity problems and they are pushing electric vehicles? It is too small and to take saddle bags, I don't think so I think this bike is a joke. Plus, it takes too long to charge, so not worth it on a trip. H-D, please stop the experimentation and use the fuel we all want!
Until you’ve been on one, I would speak on horsepower. That bike is faster than all of my motorcycles. This isn’t a Harley motorcycle anymore. I loved the bike. Definitely would own one. And I don’t ride bikes for people to hear me. I ride defensively. And most motorcycles besides Harley’s aren’t loud lol (gold wings) so that’s irrelevant
@@QueenSit One of my concerns is what if they require blackouts because of lack of electric power where you would be going on an extended trip? My concern is that Harley is pushing this bike in times of questionable availability to charge it. I would hate to get stuck without charging options. I think that Harley would be better with a hybrid bike that way you'd have a choice in case you ran into any trouble. Harley has to explore more options when it comes to only electric bikes. So you are saying that this bike has more horsepower than the bike you put a stage 2 on? Hmmmm I am going to my H-D dealership and test this, I gotta see this one for myself, no disrespect, but I am skeptical about the Livewire.
