I saw Billy as a warm up band playing what I think was his first time in the USA at NYC. The crowd booed him off the stage, I was blown away by his talent and remembered as a kid being so upset not seeing the rest of his show. The rest is history, love growing old with him. Keep playing my friend you are an amazing talent that has brought joy to so many.
That's amazing, I was there too. It's funny how selective memory is - I don't remember booing off the stage, but more talking and talking between songs, and me wishing that I could understand more than just a tiny fraction. His accent was so thick and he spoke so fast but I was sure that what he was saying must be really interesting and important. Something about his being pleasantly surprised, that America was better than he'd feared. And his show stuck in my memory way more than the main band - do you even remember who he opened up for?
@@hopesubak-kaspar5860 that’s so funny as I was hoping someone would remember who the main band was. It was at the beacon theater I remember. Maybe the cure or a band like that. I just remember him and started looking for his album.
Great sentiment, I were 15 whe mum died at 42 dad didn't know too much about her side of the family. Thanks to a draw of certificates and ancestry I managed to find my history. Back to 1800.
Great Song Billy Bragg🤩saw you open for Robyn Hitchcock in SF🌁back in 86,( or was it 87), well my jagged memory remains somewhat, which side are you on, you totally shredded that, night, on Haight street 🌉Thanks, really 👍🏽
Billy Bragg appears to me to be a really decent human being, much respect.

I’m sorry for your loss. Thank you for transmuting it into a beautiful work of art that speaks to everyone’s humanity.
Mr. Billy.....great as always. Never heard a song from you that I didn't love 💕
Beautiful
It just feels like he knows exactly what to say at the right time........... But through music
Awesome song.
He is a true man, truly a good man, who sees the hardships of man and the corruption that drags us all down
A beautiful example of aging to perfection, bravo Billy and band
Great ❤
Nice song Billy. Lot's to consider there.

Great song! Looking forward to your concert in Folkestone in Nov.
Come to the hills of VA

Hail Mark Smith.
With some decent banjo this could be an absolutely brilliant song..
Who's in the band? Is that his son on guitar to his right?
Nice, but I miss your real accent
Why does he now sing in a weird pseudo-American accent?
??
He really doesn't- very authentic English voice
He doesn't
SHAME , SHAME, SHAME.
