Economic Democracy! Now there is a concept! The best thing about Jill Stein is that she rejects the standard political poles and instead shows actual thought on every issue. Make America Smart Aagain!
The way this country is currently running its market is a lot like directly after some countries in Africa gained independence from Europe in the 1960s and tried democracy which devolved into oligarchy who ran the markets to put money into their pockets.
@@HelloThere-yv4lc no. Economic democracy when all the benefits of progress is for the sake of the majority of people not only to those few own the companies. Even democracy has rules it is not means "you can do what you want" that's not how real democracy works. It still base on rules and regulation and laws of the land. If you accumulate huge wealth in expense of poor people then you violate the very rules and laws of democracy..
Wow, this is amazing. She's not religious by doing what's right and letting that speak for itself instead of choosing from labels such as capitalism and socialism to do what's right.
Economic democracy is more like a way of organizing a company than a way of organizing a country/government. It means a system in which all the workers in a company have a proportional say in basic decision like how much each worker makes (as opposed to traditional companies in which management makes most decisions, which is like "economic dictatorship").
says shes agianst state socialism then goes on to define it and say shes for it without realizing state socialism is economic democracy(all socialism is economic democracy) jill is probably confusing this with state capitalism.
"State capitalism" is Socialism in its infancy where capitalist social relations are temporarily maintained in order to build up industry for the workers to then collectivize. It just means small amounts of capitalism but where the fruits of industry are reinvested into the masses instead of monopolized by the Bourgeoisie. Define terms before using them haphazardly. People who use State Capitalism incorrectly often mistake it for Social Democracy, which ironic bc they usually are okay with Social Democracy lol
This is contradictory. How do you expand democracy into the economic realm while reducing the size of government? Why would you reject state socialism, and then advocate exactly what that is (economic democracy)? Why would she say something as optically terrible as "we have a lot in common with libertarians" and then say "except the predatory free market" WHICH IS LITERALLY ALL LIBERTARIANISM IS? This was the most baffling 1:24 I've heard in awhile...
What does Jill believe about "Social Security"? shouldn't the, tired of working all their lives elderly, have a secure life in their remaining years when they will face many hardships for having worked all those years. Exposure to deadly; cancer causingchemicals and skeletal/muscular breakdown from repetitive and back breaking work throughout working peoples lives is sacrifice enough and should be rewarded; even if; society pays out more than workers pay into Social Security. Can't both systems be blended like many countries where; not perfect; there is a balance between Capitalism and Socialism. If She does not believe in some Social programs; then I will have to think twice about voting for her!
Under socialism in the USSR pensions are literally guaranteed by the constitution. Theyre a human right under the State Socialism she discards without understanding lol
She's repeating the "doesn't exist" as if that's a reason valid enough to discredit free markets. People who resort to this argument don't understand the market and have no idea that there are pockets of free markets today that provide services without the dangers she describes. If money o an asset were to accumulate to a few, then in a free market that person or business position would be weakened because anyone who is also interested in making money would gladly take position in that area of business in order to service customers who can not purchase what the other business has. This is not rocket science and people have been indoctrinated to believe these government lies. She looks intelligent, but she obviously fails to understand economics from the free market perspective.
Dr. Jill is talking about collective economics, with which I agree totally.
Economic Democracy! Now there is a concept! The best thing about Jill Stein is that she rejects the standard political poles and instead shows actual thought on every issue. Make America Smart Aagain!
What is "economic democracy"? Like choosing democratically how a company is going to behave and spend money?
The way this country is currently running its market is a lot like directly after some countries in Africa gained independence from Europe in the 1960s and tried democracy which devolved into oligarchy who ran the markets to put money into their pockets.
The opposite of MAGA MAGGOTS...
That's just democratic socialism, not anything new

This is a real 21st Century leader. Smart, articulate, savvy. Go Jill Stein!
She is Amazing! Everything she just said is 100% correct, I will be voting for Dr. Stein.
Well said. She just summed up in words what I have always wanted. Neither system is viable.
Let's go with economic democracy. Vote Greens.
What a fucking beautiful answer!

Frankly a strong government is a must so that it can prevent capital from influencing too much policien in its favor on the cost of the mass
Voting for you again
Who is a country that exemplifies "economic democracy".. how does it work exactly?
Economic democracy is more like a way of organizing a company than a way of organizing a country/government. It means business runs like politics.
I recommend Einstein’s 8 page “Why Socialism “, not hard reading!

I think by economic democracy, she means worker owned business and cooperatives, which do not involve any state.
François Hollande well they are funded by the state in some cases which is what state socialists advocate.

@@generalsmedleybutler340all businesses involve the state .... Businesses are a creation of the state they can't exist without the state
So socialism localized to state governments?

And the plan is to tax the rich to "bail out" the young. There isn't enough money at the top so it would just be another tax on the middle class.
"We oppose state Socialism" as if its bad then goes on to literally describe State Socialism how it actually existed lol.
Nice.
Let’s see them dr Jill’s debate
She is clearly a Capitalist politician.

if I had a penny for every time I heard CAPITALISM get blamed for GOVERNMENT INTERFERENCE, I would be placed in the highest tax bracket.
She already said that true capitalism doesn't exist.
@@johndoe4783neither does "true" socialism.
Why didn't she debated? This woman has my vote. HARRIS/TRUMP. what a joke,we need people like this people of conscious. Not a circus act.
I am having trouble envisioning this economic democracy. How do stuff like cars get made without big corporations?
Capitalist Crony.
God bless Jill Stein !!!
