I find it fascinating that the core differences between a master of Satsui no Hado and a master of Mu no Ken probably have almost nothing to do with actual fighting techniques and almost everything to do with their use and control of the Hado energy. It's pretty much the same as what separates Jedi Knights and Sith Lords in the Star Wars universe.
A true student master showdown to see whose best. And Shin Ryu superceded Gouken. As the generations pass on, the student surpasses the master. A true joy watching this fight go down as succession is passed on from previous to current generations.

You know.....I think that anime is trying to show how combining light & darkness or yin & yang or combining two opposites can unleash unstoppable power. EXAMPLES: 1. IN STREET FIGHTER, Ryu combines the two opposite powers, The Satsui No Hado & The Power of Nothingness and becomes Shin Ryu who unleashes unstoppable power to defeat Gill & Oni 2. In DRAGON BALL, Goku, the yin side & Vegeta, the yang side combine in TWO ways, the Fusion Dance & Potara Earrings to become either the unstoppable Gogeta or Vegito.
I have said this once and will say it again someone at capcom better make this version of ryu a reality in SFV boss mode and SFVI as Secret encounter and unlockable character.
