Yes, Peter.. this should definitely keep me busy for the next five years lol … thanks for opening up some possibilities that may actually help my hands find the sounds my ears have been longing to hear
This is out of my pay grade, but OS seems to be ZE go--to site for serious musicians. While I'm learning the basics, Peter and that bearded guy are such great teachers that I'm practicing stuff that will definitely help on my piano journey.
What’s the right hand theory with the diminished cycle in LH? Is it all just play what sounds good to you? Or some combination of blues scales, diminished scales, alt scale?
Hey, man! Just catching this a bit later. Says it ran four hours ago, and just coming up to 1 am Thursday morning here in too chilly too early Inverness, Scotland, though actually a Nashville boy. Lovin' it as ever. Likin' the extended sessions with yourself, man! We are very lucky. PEACE! 🎉😊❤
Lol I feel the same way sometimes. I can follow most of the theory, but my fingers, well that's a different story! Still very fun to take these ideas and play around, executing what you can... building blocks!
which concept was difficult for you? for me i love these voicings but im not a piano player or avid jazz listener but when I see this video, the theory made sense for me, so now I can understand what is going under the hood and maybe able to perform it at snail speed.
Find one little concept that's a shade above your current level, and drill it every way you can think of. Then go back and watch the video and find another. With patience and persistence, you'll be fine.
@@Josh31891I’m the opposite. The fingers is nothing to me. But the theory makes my head literally hurt. It’s like suddenly being forced to use part of my brain that’s wayyyy on the other from the part that makes music
this is gold, thank you Peter!

That bearded guy? I assume you mean the mighty Adam Maness!

Fantastic ! Those concept brings instant growth. I particularly liked the penta chords, but on what chords do use them ? Cm7, EbM7, F7, B7alt ?
