Went to this restaurant regularly pre pandemic and it was very good. However staggering cutbacks now make it one of the worst restaurants in BGC now. Made a reservation for 6pm, arrived at 5:30. Watched walk ins for the same party size go ahead of us, then when queried we were advised they were getting our table ready for us, this was despite several tables being available that just needed setting of a size suitable for us. When we arrived at our table late, it had food on, had not been wiped, no cutlery or placemats set and waited another 10 minutes for this to be sorted. I raised the food on the table to a waiter who just removed the food but did not clean the table fully. We raised this to a hostess who apologised and promised to look into why our situation had happened and she did not return to our table until taking payment. A lot of the “hot” food was cold, and the choice has been vastly reduced on food and drink since a few years ago. In addition many dishes were left empty despite multiple walk backs. On payment, we paid cash and were advised to give our table number at the reception to receive our change. On heading to reception they had no change nor our bill. We had to wait a further 10 minutes for our change. Would not recommend Niu anymore, really embarrassing, plenty of better restaurants in SM Aura or BGC.
I’m sorry that you had had a bad experience with Niu. I too was disappointed myself. I had high expectations because of the location and the price itself. - We have to move to a different table because the floor is wet (not sure where it come from) our table is very hot and it’s not comfortable eating. I just thought to myself it’s my birthday I dont need to be stressed. So i just tried to enjoy the rest of the day. thanks for watching!
