We are flipping through a Bath & Body Works Product Guide from 2013, where you will see an inside scoop into what it was like being a Bath & Body Works employee at this time, as well as lots of information and pictures of what products were being sold during that year! I remember purchasing that Frosted Cranberry 3 wick. I didn't have much money at that time so I could only afford 2 candles. Now I have a collection of 200+. Times have changed. Definitely blessed
I totally understand that and feel similarly. It's good you can see that old Frosted Cranberry picture now and remember how far you've come! 🤗
When I worked in 06 and 07 I was forced to do lippy demos. I would grab a few co Bigelow Lippys, put it on a little stick and hand it to the customer and I would keep track of how many sticks I went through in an hour
Hahaha that sounds like typical BBW style selling culture! I remember having to do some slightly dumb things like that too...the one I disliked doing the most is when Gingham came out, they had us spray those blue ribbons used to trie off cello giftwraps. Then we'd be assigned a certain amount per shift and the goal was to run out of ribbons by tying them to customers wrists. It was super uncomfortable! 🤣
I still have 2 unopened boxes of Forever Midnight perfume. I loved it. I was so sad when they discontinued it
Aw that's neat you still have them! 🥰 I don't really remember what it smells like other than just reading about the notes!
What an absolute joy to watch! I wasn't as into B&BW at this time, but I do remember Be Enchanted. I wish I hadn't given my body mist away.
Thank you so much! 🤗 I know what you mean, the older certain products get in my collection, the harder it is to let go of them because of the idea that they become "rare" or "vintage." I've been trying to remind myself that if I don't use up my oldies then it limits me from getting new stuff because of space and need! Documenting them by taking pictures and filming videos of them helps me too...guess that's just the downside to being a BBW history enthusiast! Hahaha! These binders are so interesting, thanks for sharing, wish I had a few of these. I just love marketing info especially when it is relative to cosmetics and fragrances.

I so remember buying the soaps in those shapes of bottles. I still have a couple of bottles of mists with no fragrance descriptions on them like Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin (2013), The Purrfect Pumpkin, Country Apple and Crisp Orchard Leaves. I still have one Candy Apple Left in a candle in the mason jar shape. The pocket bacs were a different size as well which I so remember buying them. I have a unlit ceramic Pumpkin Carving Party candle from BBW with the tag still on it. Great going down memory lane.

I like that they used to have a bunch of pumpkin scents, but I also am glad that they branched out into a wider variety of fall scents.🎃🍁🥧🧡🤎💛
Yes, I love all things Fall...I want best of both worlds: Apples, Trees, Plums, Acorns, Coffee Scents...but also I want 300 different Pumpkin scents! 😂🎃
Moonlight Path is still sold in stores around here all the time too!
It hasn't been in mine since January semi annual sale, but I'm sure it will make an appearance again one of these days! 🌛🌸

This was so much fun to watch! You do a really great job of taking us through everything-so appreciated, Melissa! You even pause so we can pause and read if needed as you went. Love! ❤️💕 One thing that is interesting, too, is the evolution of Pumpkin Caramel Latte! It re-emerged as Maple Cinnamon Pancakes for a couple of years and was Caramel Brûlée Latte (in the fun fall wallpaper collection with the bear) last year. Oh, BBW. You love to keep us guessing, lol.

It was sure fun to be able to share something that the majority of the public has never seen before! 🥰 I know I love "behind the scenes," and wish/hope that if anyone who has worked at a BBW from even longer ago than myself had any materials to share online! 🤞 You keep doing that to me! I never got the chance to smell Pumpkin Caramel Latte (or if I did I sure don't remember!) but I've smelled Maple Cinnamon Pancakes and Caramel Brulee Latte, but I never associated the two together! I see it now that you say that though! Confusing, but good to know for those who wish their old favorite would come back! 😁
So, on that topic, the secret is...I only showed about 1/2 of one binder in this video...🤦♀️🥺 When I filmed it, I easily could have talked about every single sentence in the binder, but man oh man, it would have been a full-length motion picture at that point! 🤣 Be careful what you wish for! I didn't include a lot and still have unseen employee materials to share one day, but I was ready to start making Fall videos so I will save them for later! 😍

They usually have at least one simple snowflake wallflower plug each year, but I know at my store they sell out super fast! 😲⛄ I'll be excited to see what designs we get this year too!

Did you ever get the explanation for what
White Barn means? No one that works there anymore seems to know.
Hi, thanks for subscribing! I'm glad to have you here. 😊 Yes, in fact a deeper explanation was given in one of my other employee binders I have. To summarize, White Barn was the original brand name for the BBW home fragrance line made starting in 1998. The only reason for having some called White Barn and others just Bath & Body Works is to have different style options decor wise. White Barn is meant to be more timeless, classic, and sophisticated while Bath & Body Works packaging usually has more colorful wax, is more vibrant, fun, and seasonal. I hope that helps, I know that's a confusing one that most employees don't really know the answer to these days!

I need help finding a very similar body spray to into the night. It was a clear bottle with black wrapping and it had sparkles but not little black dress😩I wish I could remember. Thank you for your videos
Okay we are gonna figure this out! 😂 It's not similar in fragrance to Into the Night, but it had an almost identical bottle as the Black Party Dress/ what you described. Is it Fresh Sparkling Snow from the 2019 collection called "All That Glitters"? The collection had Twinkling Nights, Black Cherry Merlot, Black Party Dress, Shimmering Stars, and Champagne Toast.

wait, didn’t u say u have another one like that, but from 2014? are u gonna show that eventually? lol, this video was interesting because that product guide is just so beautifully designed, but only the employees would ever see it, and not the public really. it also kinda felt like if BABW ever made a magazine
Yes, I still have another binder, and I also found some mini pamphlets that are smaller versions of this essentially that the company would hand out to employees at the beginning of new floor themes. I will definitely have to share them! They are adorable! Just like you mentioned, it strikes me odd that they went all out making such a great product guide but for employee/company eyes only. Especially (no offense to anyone) when you go into stores these days and the employees either don't know or don't care about a whole lot regarding BBW anyway...🤦♀️ It's such a missed opportunity! Of course not every employee is that way, but I feel like more employees these days are just there for a paycheck like any other retail store as opposed to being invested further. 🤔

Do you think you'll ever go back to work at BBW?
I want to in some ways, and in other ways I don't. I consider it often, and it always sounds like a good idea to just go back and do the stuff I like to do like shipment, floorsets, marketing...but the last time I tried that it didn't work out. Since I've been one of the managers for so long, I have more experience than the people who are the current managers, and they kept needing so much of my help that playing step-in manager every single shift didn't feel like it should be $11-$12 an hour while the managers I was helping/training were getting $17-18 an hour. That's a downside of working corporate, is wages don't always reflect your worth to the company or what you're adding to it. It's like compartmentalized boxes that say "if you work this position, you get this much" no matter what. It always would just get so messy and unfair for reasons like that. 🤦♀️ I'm not saying I never will again, but for the foreseeable future, I'm not going to for now. 😊
