Beacuse it's timeless, that's why. Like Basil Fawlty and the Germans you can watch it countless times and it's always as funny as the first time you ever saw it.
Because few people would find it funny nowadays. Even me at 65 now find The Two Ronnies tedious, though I used to enjoy them well enough when it was new on the telly.
Priceless comic genius from an age when comedy was exactly that and not the Tasteless Muck that the BBC air today. R.I.P Barker and Corbett - National Treasures.❤
It doesn't matter how many times you watch these clips , you laugh everytime 😂 🤣, it's the faces on them and Ronnie Corbetts frustration is priceless 🤣
You’re absolutely right 👍👍😂this is real comedy no swearing, no sex, no abusive satire, this is humour at its best and you can’t see it once a week and not laugh!!! Inspired!!
I don't think we will see the likes of Ronnie Barker again. Even writing under another name he had people laughing immediately. Now that is pure Talent. Thanks RB and you for this
And thank you John Mason for this uplifting comment (for me anyway) because, and I'm fearful to say had never heard of this adorable man til now. At 69 and as they say, better late than never. Pure talent is right. ❤️
This made me smirk, I’m 51, and when I was a kid the only to show my mom and dad (bless them) would let me and my bro stop up and watch past our 8:00 bed time was watching the two Ronnie, a family treat and memories for ever, thanks for posting this video.
How about a rerun of this feel good moment show, to replace the vulgar impressive adult only rubish. So many young folk can not write but know all about sexùal behaviour.!!
Just browsing and come across this, they were the best comedy duo of all time their sketches were iconic, loved them growing up in the seventies and now. They do not make them like they did.
It’s all in the writing. And Ronnie Barker was able to do it week after week. Such a clever man. My favourite comedian as a kid. Still love his stuff now, whether Porridge, Open All Hours or The Two Ronnies.
You said that right. Unfortunately in the 21st century with PC and wokeism around you couldn't get away with the sort of comedy that was produced back then, it's a crying arse shame. 😢
Have the Americans ever watched this and see how real comedy is done how it is written and delivered and how the two characters performing this are simply masters at their game

One of the best comedy sketches ever!. As a teenager (50 + now) we had a lovely hardware shop in Sunninghill Berkshire just like this. They even had a glass parafin pump in the store so you could see you were getting what you ordered.
The most brilliant sketch . Ronnie Corbett gave them back to Ronnie Barker in heaven in the end as he left them in the shop after leaving them behind. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I love how Ronnie Corbett was getting more and more annoyed with Ronnie Barker towards the end of the sketch, but Ronnie C was trying not to show it. I think my favourite line is when Ronnie B says to Ronnie C "Saw tips", and Ronnie C says "What do you want, ointment or something?", I love how Ronnie B keeps a straight face and says "Tips for covering saws".
I'm nearly 30 but my late nan got me into the two ronnies when i was in my early teens and i have loved them ever since and this sketch is pure comedy gold. This is what you call proper comedy, i regret not being born at the time and growing up with real comedy. Writing like this will never be seen again. I have many wonderful memories watching this along with other old comedy she got me into, i miss her sooooo much but i have many happy memories watching this and other stuff. Nan thank you soooo much for getting me to watch this
I used to like watching porridge. Ronnie Barker. Dave Allen, Benny Hill. The time Dave Allen died I searched his name and read a few quotes also what one person told me about him. One of the questions a journalist asked Dave Allen while he had a clear glass of water with him. The journalist asked what are you drinking, whisky, water or wine? Dave Allen answered yes. Another was a sketch. A person told me this one. Dave Allen was walking through vilages set 100s years ago as a priest. He came to one village and asked a person has there been any rape of pillage going on. The answer came back no. He walked to another village and asked a local the same question. Again the answer was no. He then went to another village asked the same question and the answer was no. Dave Allen then said now, where are the boys?
They made so many good sketches together, this is absolutely one id their best if not the best. Try their Master Mind sketch, answering the question that came before. Brilliant!
Literally, one of the best Comedy sketches of "All time", 😂😂😂😂!
I am so glad I was born in the 1960s I loved the two ronnies in the 70s and 80s they were my favourite comedy actors of all time just so funny.
I think this is the best sketch they have done 😮
Doesn't matter how many times I watch this... I'm always smirking or giggling. Pure talent of good old fashioned comedy. These two were the best. X♥️

British comedy from the late 60's to early 80's was and still is some of the best ever!
Why is it that I scroll down the recommendations and even though I’ve seen this a thousand times, I still click on it to watch it again?

The Two Ronnie's
Of all their funny sketches, this was my favorite. Why can't we have shows like this anymore? These days, we sorely need a laugh.
I agree but someone somewhere will get offended unfortunately
