This is the best gospel medley I've ever heard.....these are all great anointed and appointed singers....you can feel the power and presence of God when they sing....I miss these Kurt Carr singers!!!!!
I have the entire VHS for this. There were several celebs in the audience (eg. Jacke' Harry from 227 fame; Kellie Shanygne who played Laura Winslow in Family Matters; Bishop Walter Hawkins as well as others);Chaz Lamar Shepherd who played Aaron in "The Parkers" is holding it down in the Tenor section - front row.
I don't care what anybody says, Kurt Carr is one of the best arrangers EVER, and has an awesome talent for finding great singers! Of course, JACKIE BOYD IS HOT!!! Kelli, I see you in the audience killing that gum, lol! --Kaye-K
Come on "ole school"! Oh what memories that kept me in church. LET'S HAVE CHURCH!!! [What a "remembering tear for Bishop Walter Hawkins - The Heavyweight of Gospel Music]. THANK YOU GOD FOR SEEING A NEW DAY 1/05/2011. YOU ALLOWED ME TO LIVE TO SEE ANOTHER DAY AND TO WAKE UP AND HAVE CHURCH WITH "OLD MELODIES"! HALLELUJAH!!
I never knew he was cogic because I never knew much about that background but wow we had this DVD in the late 2000s and early 2010s the presence of God would immediately fall in the house i want this again frfr
@@jmorg044 you're absolutely correct I mean I made that a big deal over the years and regretted it the only one who we should be focusing on getting praise is God frfr
I love these songs. I love music and Kurt Carr always delivers wonderfully. I think I like these singers better even though I love his singers now. Sometimes some people can sing old gospel songs and make them sound bad but they did an excellent job. This is how gospel music should be song. I especially loved when Chervonne song. She has a beautiful voice. I'm seventeen too but old gospel music still is good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm only seventeen, but I love old school gospel like this. It is just some thing about the message that get me in a spirit of Worship. BTW, the lady at 5:18 looks like she plays the organ...LOL!!! Matter of fact she look like she may have write one of those songs..."Did he ask me to sang my song? I know he didn't!" JK...
What a wonderful song. I lean on the Lord everyday, allday. He never failed me yet. I've failed myself because I let another person steal my joy. I got so pissed off, I had to call on the Lord. Thank God he is patient & kind God. My spirit is on the rise right now. THANK YOU GOD!!!!!
God is certainly good all the time. This I know. He does great things for us. What have we done for God lately? God is patient & kind. Forgive me God for all my sins. I pray that God gives me strength to be patient, kind, loving, warm, helpful to those who cannot help themselves & much more. I shall continue to pray & give God all the glory.
Did you all see Mary Mary in the choir? LOL I saw the dark hair lady....that makes up Mary Mary. LOL I've seen this so many times and never noticed her. I also see the lady that sings back-up for Dr. Judith Christie McAllister.
Stella, I don't know if this concert is available on VHS any longer, but you will find it in DVD format at Amazon. It's entitled "No One Else" recorded live in LA at West Angeles COGIC. Let me know if this suffices.
You are so right. They have very wide vocal ranges which speaks to their versatility. Unfortunately, this line-up of singers aren't together. If not mistaken, only Yvette remains.
I nerve knew she could sing like that. Never seen her take the lead part before and I wonder why. In this vid, Cheveronne proves that Kurt Carr's female singers (like Yvette, Cheveronne and Nakitta) sound like regular sopranos when their singing but they can get into notes too high for regular sops. And you won't see it coming.
Yeah the sopranos were great...but it the i wish the soloist at the immedate right of the man soloist was given a part she have a soprano vioce that i've never heard before...she takes it above and beyond.
pamela neely Her full name is Jackie Boyd-DeRaat but I don’t know if she still has DeRaat in her name but she still sings. Matter of fact, some of the original Kurt Carr Singers got together last year and had a reunion concert and she went
