Thank you! The only jazz I've played with him was in our lessons at Berklee, and we traded playing fours over 2-5-1's. So I've never heard him play standards. He can certainly deal with those harmonies and forms, but he doesn't have any interest in playing that music.

I know you got a scholarship to attend Berklee, but whatever it ended up costing you to go there you can't put a price on a takeaway like this.
