I've just realized that you may be the only doctor in the world whose handwriting is legible, not only that, it's downright beautiful.

Important PSA. It's shocking how few people know about this.

@SHAK-MD What paper are you using? I've looked for notebooks that utilize this line system, but never seem to see one that are expressly fountain pen friendly. Thanks, and I love your videos!

Thank you for the PSA written with such captivating beauty and elegance that it’s hard to ignore. I don’t have a basement but I will look into these gases. Here’s me thinking I am safe from lung cancer because I don’t smoke! Are you a specialist, Shak? Like a cardiologist or oncologist?

Anationwide survey of radon in homes in the 1990s showed that the average concentration of radon in Australian homes is low, and about four times less than the worldwide average. Consequently, there is little cause for concern of health effects from radon in homes in Australia.

That is great news for you! It is the second leading cause of lung cancer here!! And very few people are actually well informed about it.

Radon testing kits can be purchased at many stores and are often provided free from many state governments. Google radon kits from your state. Radon rate maps are also available for your state. A map will show if you are in a danger zone.

I'm surprised it is not talked about in the media much. I live in a high radon area, and the majority of my patients either don't know anything or are unaware of the lurking danger.
