เพลงนี้เป็นเพลงประกอบภาพยนตร์เรื่อง "สัปเหร่อ"
เนื้อเรื่องใจความสำคัญ คือ "เซียง" ชายที่ติดอยู่กับอดีตคนรักเก่าชื่อ "ต้นข้าว" ซึ่งฆ่าตัวตายขณะที่เธอกำลังท้อง
"เซียง" ไม่สามารถหลุดจากความเสียใจนี้ได้ และพยายามทำทุกอย่างเพื่อให้ได้เจอกับ "ต้นข้าว" อีกครั้ง แม้ว่าเธอจะตายไปแล้ว
ในขณะที่ "เจิด" ที่เรียนจบปริญญาตรีวิศวกรรมศาสตร์ มีพ่อทำอาชีพสัปเหร่อ แต่พ่อของเจิดป่วยหนักระยะสุดท้าย พ่อจึงขอให้เจิดมาช่วยทำงานเป็นสัปเหร่อแทน และในขณะที่กำลังทำพิธีเผาศพให้คนอื่นอยู่พ่อของเจิดก็เสียชีวิตลง เจิดต้องเป็นคนทำพิธีเผาศพให้พ่อตัวเอง แม้จะเสียใจมากแต่เค้ายังคงทำหน้าที่ของตนเองอย่างดีที่สุดต่อไป เหมือนที่พ่อเคยบอกไว้ "ขอให้ใช้ชีวิตให้ดีและมีความสุขต่อไป"
ทำใจไม่ได้ครับ เสียคนที่เรารักไป ไม่ว่าจะ ปู่ ย่า พ่อ แม่ พี่น้อง จะผ่านไปกี่ปีก็ทำใจไม่ได้ครับ อย่าได้หวนนึกถึงเลยหละสำหรับผม ร้องไห้ตาบวมแน่นอน
