Expressing Patience | Timeless Truths - Dr. Charles Stanley

- We may know that patience is a virtue, but it isn’t always easy to live out. However, it is a very powerful and disarming response to conflict. When we are able to respond in a way that is quiet and peaceful-not challenging or defensive-we find favor with God and reap the benefits that come with choosing a Christlike response.
How long did God have to wait for you to turn to Him? God patiently waits for us, so we have no right to get impatient with others. In this message, Dr. Stanley shares with us the spiritual obligation of patience and how the Lord expects us to express it by:
- Being quiet
- Praying
- Controlling our thoughts
- Controlling our emotions
- Refraining from forcing our opinion on someone else
- Listening without responding
- Forgiving others
- Sharing encouraging words
Expressing patience daily involves a commitment to responding with love and peace, but there’s also a long-term willingness to wait on God that we must work towards. When we are patient, we learn to abide by the Lord’s timing, trust His eternal perspective, and rest in His love for us.
So be patient with all people-and with God-to receive His favor and the blessings that come from this powerful virtue.

After 30 years God has finally given me the fulfillment of a dream I had been asking for. I wasn’t always as patient as I became the last 15 years or so, but over all, God has been faithful and rewarded my patience.
ALLMEN, BEING ALL WOMEN AS WELL AS ALL MEN. 😞
This is the perfect message for me today, because I am experiencing disappointments, setbacks, loss of a supporting team, uncertainty about my decisions, and doubt as to commitments that were made(insinuated) by powerful people. So, today I need to be reminded who is in charge-- Our Father God and His Son Jesus Christ. So, this message from Dr. Stanley supports that by explaining what patience means along with who is in power.
I've had some of the same issues today. I was really struggling. The enemy really tried me today. I dropped to my knees in tears from my soul.
I stand with you in Thanks to God for providing us strength and support to help us. Thank You Holy Spirit for comfort and consolation. Thank You Jesus for love, forgiveness and healing to help us be patient and know that our God is still on the throne.
Thank You for your word which is a light for us. Thank You for your word which tells us you are a Faithful Father who always keeps his promise.
Thank You for the promise that for All who love you; You will work all things out for our good.
Thank you for your promise no weapon formed against us, will prosper.
Thank You for giving us the authority in Jesus name to defeat the enemy.
Please bring your perfect peace to all of those who love and trust you with all their hearts today.
In Jesus powerful, patient, peaceful perfect name we pray.

God did not overlook me when selecting someone for the long situation. I'm living moment to moment, waiting on God. Those have been my go-to scriptures for years. They work❣️❣️

Right on time. I need to develop patience on my job..Especially in my apartment area it a complete nightmare inside as well outside. But I know I truly need patience greatness and that. And lastly my favorite area i need the strongest amount of patience is waiting for a relationship..That if it is the Father will for my life. Just being patience within myself and fam/friends. Patience is the hardest thing at least for me..But the road at times is easy when you keep your mind and eyes on God..This teaching was on fire it hit the spot for me and my heart and mind. God word and teachings is awesome..He is a awesome God. 👌

I admit that my patience sometimes runs thin.i believe that all things are possible with god.and he has answered many of my prayers.but we also know that He also says.yes.No.or Wait.. after months or years of praying.without results.when do we know to stop asking.. how do we not know that he has already said No.i have been praying for someone to share life with.serve God together.and live in peace and Happiness as much as possible.. when God created Adam..he said.it is not good for man to b alone.i Wii make him a Helmet..and we hear that God only gives Good things..so if it's not Good for man to be alone..then why have I been waiting for so long.being alone can be a very hurtful thing.Heart Soul Body and mind.yet we suffer.can you help me to figure this out..in Jesus name Bless you Sweetheart.🙏🌹🙏

Dr. Stanley has avoided teaching on the End Times for many years now but he used to talk about it in the 1990s when I was getting his cassette tape messages in the mail as a missionary in Japan. I wish I knew why at this time so close to the Rapture of the church Pastor Stanley is silent on signs of the times?

SOMETHING WENT WRONG : At Walmart I saw a Lady Banging the head of a little boy . I stepped in and ask her to stop it !! That's not the way you discipline a child . The Lady went in heat cursing me: You son of a B = = = h , who authorized you to be speaking to me ? I responded if you and the father of the child is an enemy , don't take it out on the child . She went in another rage ! I did not respond but keep looking on her , she went away . A couple of week's went by and I saw her at another Target Store , She came over to me and apologize and ask me how did I know that her man was giving trouble ? I only responded, they have not fully grown up yet as men, they are living in the body of a Boy , so patience is the only way to deal with them.
