  • This video features Devin running the High Lonesome 100 race that starts and finishes near Buena Vista, Colorado. Devin has tried several years to get into this race. This year he made it on the waitlist but with race day approaching was ready to give up on getting in. He got notified on the Tuesday night before the race that he got in. Devin, along with fellow Buckleheads Josh, Brian, and Jonathan who would crew and pace him, scrambled to get everything together and headed out to Colorado. Coming from Kansas on a last minute notice makes completing a high altitude race extremely difficult. Devin struggled early but never gave up and finished the race.

Thank you for volunteering. I crewed the whole race and paced Devin from
Hancock to Monarch. All of the volunteers and aid stations were great. I’m going to put my name in the lottery and see what happens.
