Thanks Bob for helping my favorite sailing couple. I just retired. No excuses, I'll help when I can but great to know you feel the same. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 And that dingy has to be named BOB!
8:10 , French girl on Expedition Drenched (an experienced sailor) got her hand caught in a block Margherida, she is still wearing a sling 2 weeks later. Not recommended . On the other hand (other hand - geddit ?) your new little dinghy looks ace . Thanks Bob
Good job taking care of this fun couple Bob! If I had the money to purchase a sailboat I would love to have them show me the ropes of ocean sailing. I have always been I fresh water.
Nice Dinghy. Looks like it will drain well too. My inflatable drain plug is useless as it is in the center and motor is right behind the drain, so nothing drains.
How cool getting yourselves a new dingy to play and pursue your trips ashore . Ya a real lucky fella plucky . Margarida is still tops in the swimwear league and a truly good all round gal too so that's double ya luck . Great vlog guys and hope you have plenty o good times out there Fair winds n following seas :-D
I'm not sure how to react to the fact you are getting some stability in your life Peter. Margarita, a new dingy, reliable motor, what's next.......money!! Can't wait to see. Be safe.
i don't personally know peter, but i've watched and liked everyone of his episodes, and i've noticed a lot of change my self with peter . i've noticed hes focusing more on the positive, and his episodes with margarida, till present, added something to the lonely sailor.
I thank you too ,Bob. I wish I could afford to help them (financially) too. I wouldn't want them to stop sailing. They can always be counted on being entertaining. Then they had some real shit luck losing that cat. Bummer. Thanks again Bob. Cheers
lol. hahah. yea call the Dinghy Bob. So glad you got a new one in the last episode it looked like you might not have made it back to your boat. Cheers guys happy sailing mate. all the best. Ps ask bob if he can buy me a HALLBERG RASSY. HAHA. XX
Yeah best to fix it right when you can and save that spare Spinnaker halyard in case in a storm sometime the other one breaks you can always use that one never hurts to have a spear
They make the hookah diving things so you can dive around your boat and do things like brush the bottom regularly. I know you can hold your breath very well but still!
for the next ride up the mast its good practice if Margarida stays behind the windlass. Best position would be to confortably seat on the bow pulpit rail and handle the line from there. This way she will not be "in the zone". That windlass is used to being compressed against the deck (with side loading also) and with moves like this you are demanding traction from it , more precisely the hull. if it were to part from the deck Margarida would ve been injured. Nice to see you using a back up, but try to get a cam operated device rather that a teethted one. if you shock load your backup (as is) chances are you end up ripping the mantle of that line and potentially failing to arrest your fall.
It looked like it was motorized and that is where the foot controls were. Which puts them in a good location for raising the anchor but bad for going up the mast.
I had a 14' AB for ten years and it was an excellent boat - the person I sold it to still uses it and he's had it another five years. The Hypalon used in these boats is really excellent quality.
is that an 8hp nissan motor? We had a long shaft version on our sailboat.. good motors- I would clean the carb once a year- small parts and could gum up pretty quickly (even with eth. free gas).
The boat should be called Bob. I would find it really hard accept that kind of help. It's one thing for patrons to contribute a couple of bucks to content, but accepting big gifts like that would be hard for me.
Bob is the best. He has bailed us out consistently for 2 years....we don't know what we have done to deserve it but there you have it....this channel ought to be dedicated to him
I watch waaaay too many sailing vlogs, and everyone breaks a halyard and have to go up the mast, sometimes in rough sea (Yoshi). So Can someone tell me why its not a cable? Why there arent a couple of smaller ropes in place so if it breaks there is something to pull another rope through? Is it because cables are noisy? What about conduit in the mast? Great video Mr safety 4th as always! Peter please steel a portable vhf to take with you on your new long range dingy so you can be rescued by your damsel in distress. Ill have to see how i can get me one of your t- shirts. And name that dingy BOB. Bob the dingy. Whats the name of the boat? And set yourself up as an affiliate to that dingy company. Try flogging some gear on your chsnnel. Seems like most channels sell stuff or other people's stuff.
You use empirical and metric measurements,,, LOL... CO US, wish we could just go metric... From working on cars and just watching these channels I can convert most of it without issue,,, but we should just use metric!!!!
Yes Bob thanks....in actual fact we thank you about.....well so many times that I can't even count....this channel has the support of a great small group of patreons which is the bread and butter but when we were really in the *%$# he appeared without even asking him and solved our problems...here's to Bob
Well done BOB and thank you for saving this pair of absolutely delightful nut-jobs :-)
Thanks Bob for helping my favorite sailing couple. I just retired. No excuses, I'll help when I can but great to know you feel the same. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

An idea, put a small iron weight or magnet on the mouse wire and then grab it with a small magnet. Just thinking out-loud. Another great video.
That was super nice of Bob
Thank you bob.
Thank you Bob
Excellent job Bob!
Thanks Bob for the cool dinghy
@@2000jago haha no man.
Nice Dinghy. Looks like it will drain well too. My inflatable drain plug is useless as it is in the center and motor is right behind the drain, so nothing drains.

Thanks Bob indeed! It should be called Bob’s channel with the amount of help he has given us. Top stuff indeed.
I'm not sure how to react to the fact you are getting some stability in your life Peter. Margarita, a new dingy, reliable motor, what's next.......money!! Can't wait to see. Be safe.

BOB rocks!
Bob is a saint
Bob is da man!!! 👍👍👍
I thank you too ,Bob. I wish I could afford to help them (financially) too. I wouldn't want them to stop sailing. They can always be counted on being entertaining. Then they had some real shit luck losing that cat. Bummer. Thanks again Bob. Cheers

Bobs the Man!
Almost never hear about Self Bailing Dinghy's in the ocean. Cool thing about them, it can rain on them and they won't fill up.
lol. hahah. yea call the Dinghy Bob. So glad you got a new one in the last episode it looked like you might not have made it back to your boat. Cheers guys happy sailing mate. all the best. Ps ask bob if he can buy me a HALLBERG RASSY. HAHA. XX
So when is Bob making his appearance on the channel? Thanks Bob!
I used PPG Ameron in the SW Caribbean. Got it through Shelter Bay Marina in near Colon Panama.
Yeah best to fix it right when you can and save that spare Spinnaker halyard in case in a storm sometime the other one breaks you can always use that one never hurts to have a spear
Yaaaayaaa bob!
Cheers to BOB!
You legend Bob
They make the hookah diving things so you can dive around your boat and do things like brush the bottom regularly. I know you can hold your breath very well but still!
Yeah Bob!
i like that half boat and half dingy
I like it

Good advice that’s no 43 on the list
@@SAILINGintoFREEDOM glad to know its on your top 50 !!hahaah
Re the rope off the stern....there's a movie about that where all jumped off for a swim and no one lowered a ladder.
I can still climb up no matter what
There is such a thing called a swim ladder 👌👍
Woohoo new dinghy!
👍🇨🇦😃
Nice work Bob🤙

Onya BOB, Ya #$ Legend !!!

It was a discussion that went for months with me being like you. It was hard for me too
Henceforward the new dingy shall be called 'BOB'.
Bloody 'Oarsome' Boat BOB
What about BOB? Lol. He's a good one 😁👍
Bob is the best. He has bailed us out consistently for 2 years....we don't know what we have done to deserve it but there you have it....this channel ought to be dedicated to him
Hopefully you can do something for Bob in return? All the best...
He is coming to visit
How'd ya manage to even bodge your voice, Plucky?
Hi mamasita, is the Zacapa long gone? Hello from Antigua Guatemala, Paolo.
Hey hey hey. Z is gone baby

Boats called "Freedom" I believe
I'm not going safety any more .... I need to get down quick ....my balls are hurting!!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Total Boat makes a good prop paint....like 60 bucks instead of 450US.
Contact the RUclipsrs Sailing Delos and Sailing La Vagabonde, I am sure they could help you with information about better bottom paint.
Don’t keep us in suspense plukky, did a croc eat you or not whilst cleaning the cauliflowers???? We need to know
Set your knob to Bob.
Gatinha e amigo vocês cão maravilhoso olha? Gatinha nunca vou te esquecer
Is it just me or does everyone whistle during the start of the video.😀
Bob is an awesome son of a b**** and you guys do deserve it.
Why dont you have a boarding ladder ???
We do
красавица
I wish I had a bob
Id get ya all Oreos cookies
...my balls are hurting bwahahahaa
sAVED FROM bankruptcy ? WAIT, IF YOU KEEP THROWING LIFE RINGS TO EVERY SWIMMER, THEY NEVER LEARN TO SWIM !
Too right. We don’t know why he did it...and keeps doing it.
The bottom paint manufacturers are mostly taking the pi$$. I accept it's a difficult challenge but to mislead people the whole time is criminal.
You use empirical and metric measurements,,, LOL... CO US, wish we could just go metric... From working on cars and just watching these channels I can convert most of it without issue,,, but we should just use metric!!!!
Hey Paul, you are my greatest supporters so its no big deal to use your lingo...but I agree, it is much easier...it will happen
Bobar!no
I would suggest you don't pinch her belly before she pulls you up the mast because you come down faster than you wanted to.
Thank you Bob
Yes Bob thanks....in actual fact we thank you about.....well so many times that I can't even count....this channel has the support of a great small group of patreons which is the bread and butter but when we were really in the *%$# he appeared without even asking him and solved our problems...here's to Bob
