I think if the game would have looked like this I'd have played it through. It just looks so much more old school like Monkey Island or Sam and Max :)) Lovely art!
Thanks man! Yes I always been curious about that too, thats why I make this kind of art, and Who knows maybe one day I can make a fan game out of it. 😀
This is a nice concept. Makes me wonder how the game could have been with the old LucasArts style or even hand drawn like Curse of Monkey Island. Really nice job! I love how you did Manny
Olla, can you help me to find the ingame Backgrounds from Monkey island 4? (Escape From Monkey Island) I am a IndieGame Dev, when you want to make a real Demake Game let me know
Hi there! I don't know how to get MI4 3d backgrounds. But i think there are programs to do that. Unfortunately I can't help you with that sorry. Thats amazing! Of course id love to do a demake some day. im a little bit busy at the Time but I would Let you know.
After seeing your videos, I really think the downfall of adventure games was the 3D fad. The art just went downhill and never recovered until indie game creators went back to pixel art. Cyan was the only studio that did 3D right, and almost no characters at first. This is the way.
You have a really good point there, to make a good 3D aventure Is really Challenging. There Is a really good video of Mark Ferrari on pixel art of that era, and he explains of they mánage to create such beautiful scenarios, with limited resourses and color palettes they used to create Shadow, grading and lighting, and that creativity and passion in the crafting was the result that really make us feel, in my opinion More inmerse in that world.
This would make the game so much better! Same for Monkey 4 :)
Really love this concept, would love to see more demakes!
Thank you! I will be doing more for sure. 😁
