When in a marathon training block I feel such guilt for feeling exhausted and not having as much energy for friends/family/boyfriend. I even feel like it impacts my work, I’m not as focused during peak training and also similarly to you it impacts my sleep

I just love IM training videos, you could upload just those every week and I’d be down for it😂 also the strength training or maybe recovery tipps. I am running my first 10k and hopefully later in autumn my first half marathon + I signed up for a (for me) craaazy trail race in my fav mountain area in Switzerland! I’m doing the 16k (with a lot of fast hiking, not just running) but there’s also much longer races🙌🏻 plus I got into cycling last year and did quite a bit of cycling, now on Zwift in winter, but I want to learn how to cycle with clip in pedals 😖🥴 good luck with all your goals👏🏻👏🏻
Just a tip; you might want to eat something between the run and bike; and/or put some carbs in your bottles. Not only will you be able to perform and recovery better (the guidelines is to intra-fuel with anything over 75-90mins) but will also help train the gut for when you do fuel during the ironman

Journaling is such a powerful tool it’s so simple but can be really life changing! Steph! As a fellow tri trainer -- can you give any advice as to how to fit in strength training?? And what to focus on? I am thinking 20-30 minute blocks of strength will work best but I'm not sure how to make the most of that time!

I had a knee injury for like 6 months and when it finally got better I planned on starting running again. Guess who got another injury. This time plantar facitt which means that I cant start running or even walking for a few months. I wanted to train for a triatlon. I have been cycling a lot recently and feel stronger on the bike. Fingers crossed that I can run some time this year.
